Damn that's a steal. I just entered the lottery to have the opportunity to purchase one of the precious remaining 5.

Baw, millennials all know the feeling of seeing this set up roll into their classroom.

No if you are a millennial a VCR was absolutely a part of your life. It’s the Gen Zers who didn’t have it.

Millennials are 25-40 years old. Almost all of them had VCRs in their homes.

Maybe people don't want to re purchase every old movie they have? Also, old home videos may still be on VHS

They found their dad's old box of porn tapes and need some way to watch them.

My parents still have a few plus a vcr/dvd player combo unit they still use.

They also have a big bulky VHS hand held recorder and 2 others that take the smaller tapes but can be put in a vhs adapter to watch on a VCR

My mom even still has her original bag phone for her car. I miss those you could call from anywhere

You do realize Millennials were born between 1983-1996 don’t you? The first film to be released exclusively on DVD was Revenge of the Sith in 2005. I’m a Millennial (born in 1987) and remember the VCR quite vividly. I think you are thinking of Gen Z.

because of the quality sound.

Maybe for background mx and movie soundtracks, but even AFM machines working properly had marginal audio quality. The companssion NR (like dbx 1 and 2) is very audible along with head switching noise.

But many ppl have a lot of footage on VHS that they don't want to risk it to junk vcrs.

I use the VCR at my dad's to play the greatest board game of all time:

(not an actual picture of my game but I googled an identical one)

Seems like everything makes a comeback or people become nostalgic. I still have a ton of VHS tapes, many movies that are very obscure, same with DVD's. Luckily I kept my vinyl album collection, CD's, 45's cassettes, etc. I recently started to price my music collection on Discogs, the value is mind boggling!

I had a Mits dlp rear projector tv. The lamps lasted usually about 3 years which was remarkable considering how many hours we put on that thing.
