Some people want kids, some people don't. It really is that simple.
Everything can't always be explained logically. Especially if you are trying to line up the best financial, emotional, physical, and physiological time frame in two lives.
Which personally I think is part of the big problem in this country. Successful and intelligent people try to wait for the right time, that never comes. I think you are seeing this more and more.

Not everyone is meant to be parents. I don't think saying you don't want kids makes you selfish. Just means you were able to actually think about what you wanted and didn't just go along with what everyone else was doing because "that is just what you do".
Considering all the child abuse and neglect cases I've seen as a nurse over the years at work....I wish more people would have actually put more thought and effort into whether or not they should reproduce.

Kids are way overrated unless you just enjoy having children. It's really just another way to condition people to stay with the herd just like keeping up with the Joneses and religion. Some people make great parents because they truly desire it and enjoy it but many people make the decision because it is considered "normal" by society.

bullshite. I can travel and do what I want when I want and will have a shite pile more money in my golden years than if I had kids, them frickers are expensive.
