How do you not realize how much of a wuss you’re being? The way you said it made it some like it wasn’t very serious.

Yeah brah. Don’t send that email. You’re digging a ditch here. A bitch ditch (FYI you are the bitch in the ditch). No better than the SJWs you probably claim to hate. I’m embarrassed for you.

You're letting this woman put your livelihood in jeopardy. And for what? Because she did something you consider unprofessional? So you decide to go up against a woman, who's a liberal, in a liberal company. What can go wrong? Companies love firing women. Right? Particularly one that may have been promoted to supervisor to fill their quota! You do know that's how liberal companies operate these days.

There's an old saying, "Don't get your pussy where you get your paycheck. That concept may not literally fit your scenario, but the potential outcome is the same.

And by the way, don't count on that anonymous email to pull you out of the drink. There's no anonymity within a company. They know who you are and they know what you did. Oh and one more thing. You better be squeaky clean in case they do decide to follow up on this. They aren't just going to look into her business. They're going to look into yours also. That way they can see if you had an ax to grind with her.

More than likely, nothing overt will come of this. HR will be label you as a trouble making misogynist. Your career will stall out, your rating within the company will go down. Typical "Boy did I step in it!" stuff.

jfturner212 even if there is no risk? I would be sending the e-mail from a dummy e-mail account, an e-mail account that I created just for this e-mail. I would be sending the e-mail from this account while using a VPN so that it looks like it is coming from out of the country.

So to ask a bold question, what would be the risk to me?

As it's a liberal company I kept my mouth shut. With that said, since it is a large company, we have a corporate HR line that is anonymous. For the first time I used that to lodge a formal complaint about the female employee. The indicated that it would take several weeks to investigate and that there would be resolution by August 1st. They gave me an incident number to reference since I was submitting the complaint anonymously.

You're a fricking pussy.

I know this is a troll but I’ll bite anyway

How is having a political discussion an HR violation? Or atleast how it is one even worth reporting?

If you don’t like the what’s being said, change the conversation- don draper

Why are you all trying to suddenly turn this on me and make me looks like the bad guy? Let me remind you, I'm not the one who made inappropriate political comments in the work environment.

And it wasn't just me, several others were noticeably uncomfortable as well. I'm not the bad guy here.

Stop you have already done too much.

HR is not there to protect you they are there to protect the company.

wildtigercat I am truly being honest when I say this is not a troll. This is a real issue that just happened today and a hard decision I am trying to make. Whether to send that e-mail or not and what to put in that e-mail if I do send it.

The whole incident wasn't directed at anyone in particular and calmed down pretty quickly, but it was incredibly inappropriate. The worst thing about this is this woman is a supervisor so she needs to be setting an example for all the regular employees.
What a ninny you are. Your peer shot her down and yet you still want to cry to someone about it? Don't be like they are.

Let it go. It will just make a bad situation worse.

We had a unwritten and agreed upon rule when our work group went for dinner & drinks. No work talk or politics. There were plenty other subjects to talk about. Anybody that broke the rule was subject to a round of drinks for everyone at the table.
It didn't take long for everybody to play by the rules.

I don't think the female in question deserves an official reprimand. I think a refresher to everyone that politics is off-limits is all that is needed and if anyone brings up politics again they get reprimanded.

A good reminder to liberals that they can't just easily get away with trashing conservatives.

Now you're just fishing for support on this site. That's not what the end goal of this situation should be.

Delta I agree to protect the company. But that doesn't mean they'll favor her over me. She was the one who made the inappropriate comments. I feel like I have a decent Hostile Working Environment Claim if I choose to pursue it.

HR needs to protect the company from the female employee, not me.

But I do agree with you about HR. Don't you think then that it would be a good idea to anonymously contact my Area Leader. He would not be HR and could take corrective action.
