6 pack a night, probably nothing.

Now swigging straight out of a bottle of vodka throughout the day on a daily basis…..yeah one day off, you gonna feel (and see that).

Yeah. I mean I’m typically drinking craft lagers. Parish Pils, Urban South Paradise Park. I drink Pinot Noir. A bottle at a time typically.

I am fine. But I resent myself because I don’t Hit all my personal goals. I’m a crazy person man.

I got to the point that I was close
To Rick bottom and I only drank beer, but if there was a beer left I would drink it even though I didn’t need it. I was putting down at least 8-10 bud heavies every day and more on the weekends.. but what it was doing to myself and to my family I could not
Process is what finally got me. I got really sick and dropped to 106 lbs. but I saw the light on November 6th of 2021. I got up and went to store and just didn’t buy any beer. HAvent touched a drop since. My life has changed forever. I am now at 192 lbs and feel better than ever. As for the OP it’s up to YOU if your have a problem. Do an inventory of yourself and be honest…. My .02 cents.

By definition yes he/she is an alcoholic but are they a heavy drinker. IMO no but even 6 beers every day will lead to health problems

Depends, is he killing 6 miller lites a night or 6 7% craft beers?

I can drink a 6 of Miller and feel much of nothing. If I have 2 craft beers I'm good and buzzed. I drink basically everyday and it has zero negative impact on my life. I don't need to drink everyday, if life dictates that I do not, then I don't and I go to bed normally.

I've been around alcoholics, a 6er of beer a night is not an alcoholic. Waking up, hitting liquor until you pass out, waking up and doing it again is an alcoholic.

I had to leave that group. I became obsessed with finding new releases. I think that fueled what became a situation that beermoney is describing. Thats pretty much how I am.

That’s how my brother started. Ended with hiding vodka in water bottles til his life turned upside down. Rehab after rehab. Divorce. Remarried and life seems to be on a straighter sober track

Get the guy some help if he’s having any family or personal issues that you know of

Not really, but it'd be an expensive habit for sure. Beer has very little ABV- an entire six pack is like a bottle wine in terms of abv and three shots of whiskey. The amount of non-alcohol in beer is way better for your liver than those three shots though.

I’m literally stunned by how dumb this is.

Hiding bottles is common denominator for sure. My grandfather used to do this even at nursing home he was in at the end. He would come cruising through hallway into the lounge area in his electric wheelchair (early 90s fancy) and go take a swig from pint of whatever behind window drapes. He also would stack empty bottles in closet etc

What do you make of it, Handsome Pete? I don’t even know what it means, but then again I been stretching my brain cells’ legs for a couple days. Sometimes you just gotta run em, blow that carbon buildup out.

Yea, I definitely think doing that makes you an alcoholic. I mean, we aren’t talking about just drinking 6 beers in one sitting. We’ve probably all done that. We aren’t talking about drinking a beer every day. But six beers every single night is more than it sounds like. Just the time it takes to drink that much means that you’re probably cracking open the first one right when you get home from work, and have one in your hand until you go to bed. Either that or you’re just chugging them. Either way, that sounds to me like you either love beer more than anyone ever, or you need it to function.
