Singapore is a nice country to visit but it is very expensive. Buying a car there is insanely expensive.

We have an office there and one of my partners that I worked with for years moved to run it. He was a huge car nut and always had multiple exotics here in the US, he drives a Camry hybrid there.

It’s done on purpose to keep the amount of cars low and your friend paid 150k for that car

According to Wikipedia:

Chinese (74%), Malays (13%), and Indians (9%).

Religious diversity:

Buddhism: 31.1% of the population
Christianity: 18.9% of the population
Islam: 15.6% of the population
Taoism: 8.8% of the population
Hinduism: 5% of the population
No religion: 20% of the population

That's fairly diverse.

Religious diversity and ethnic diversity are two separate things.

Dan Carlin said something along the lines of living under a dictator or monarch is a historical crap shoot. Sometimes you end up with a Caesar, sometimes you end up with a Caligula. The first dictator may be idealistic and patriotic and selfless and great, but what are the chances you get 2 in a row?

While this all sounds great and on a good path, I'd be interested to see what happens when he's gone. Dictatorships usually don't end well.

Car registration costs 100% of the value of the car if not more.

Chewing gum is illegal.

It's clean but they have some odd laws.
I prefer more freedoms than they have. And I'll rather live in free squalor than gilded chains.

Doesn’t really matter if you’d support it or not, you’ll be living it by 2028.

No. I also wouldn't want Trump as dictator. Or Elon. Or anyone. Presidents and fair elections are where it's at.
