The sad thing is so many people will convince themselves they’ll hit a big lick and pay it off early, talking big with the salesman. The reality is they’ll slave away at paying that, the mortgage, and two car notes.

Wow.
You forgot to add in the required down payment.
Total cost is actually $254,757.
Over 20 years...for something you rarely get to enjoy.
That's like getting divorced

I was looking at a Vexus VX21, after equipping it with the electronics, power poles, and other various options, the total came out just shy of $120k. I just couldn't wrap my head around it. Now we're looking for a pre owned model, but they're still in the upper 70's and lower 80's. It's ridiculous how much the price has increased on boats in the last few years.

20 year loans have been around on boats for a while. I've heard that they're offering 25+ on some of the newer wakeboard boats now.

What kind of boat is going for north of $100k?

I am woefully uneducated on boat prices.

I bought my MasterCraft in October of 2021. Not sure I'd even be willing to buy the exact same boat now.
They're putting so much tech in these things it's crazy. The new 2024's have an option for automatic swinging board racks because pulling a pin and spinning it around is too much work.

Old saying about a B O A T is Bust Out Another Thousand. This is literally doing it once a month.

Who are these people that can be plop down $340,000 for a ski boat? Because the tatted up white Oakley roid heads I see in these can't possibly be paying for them.

But look at the sparkly paint and the pimped out wheel wells on the trailer!

Can’t imagine laying down six figures for that. I guess people are paying that for Range Rovers. But at least the RR is something you use every day.
Just to blow your mind you can spend over $250,000 on a Range Rover SV...
But it has about 2.5 times the HP of the boat in the OP so I guess that makes sense the price is about 2.5 times, yes?

What's more outrageous is 100k for a bass boat.
Especially when in South La the guy with the 18’ gator tail with surface drive motor can catch more fish.

Those new icon bass boats that wheeler is pushing are around $140k tournament ready.
You should always borrow as much as you can, for as long as you can, and pay it off as early as you can. Most people just miss that last part.
