If only Trump were still President, we'd be living in a harmonious utopia of peace and prosperity.
I hate Trump as a person...can't stand him. But if you honestly think we'd be in the same place with all of the issues right now, you're insane.
shite, just look at his stance and actions against the oil industry. That is one issue that is directly related to his moves and rhetoric. Think about this...he purposely crippled our domestic production and is now going to our enemies begging them to produce more. And we can't put the screws to Russia by supplying our allies in Europe with all they need.
It honestly hurts my brain how fricking stupid and shortsighted this administration is.

With that said… It is funny though that I saw a super liberal colleague of mine bitching that the tax return they got back was much less than last year when they had the same salary and really no changes to anything that would change what they input in turbo tax. I thought it was funny.
Did you think it was funny because you just completely lack any concept of how tax law works and like to blame everything on those damn libs!
Would love to hear what 2021 tax law change from 2020 effected your co-worker
I’ll wait..

are you unaware that the tax code changes yearly and even more when a different President comes to office?
Surely not.

15% hit on my stock investments for starters. Lockdowns and rampant entitlement bailouts with no, or 0.0 qualifying results and no penalties for forgery have led us here under POTATUS.

Bought gasoline for our main car.
Bought BBQ at a favorite local place (4x what it cost last year at this time.) (Local place no longer has indoor seating)
Supply chain failures at two local grocery stores.

As a CPA, I am.
Now please tell me what changed in 2021 to negatively effect this persons tax return?
Standard deduction increased. Income tax brackets increased. Child tax credit increased
Biden sucks but

Probably the fact that they got their child tax credit paid to them in advance over 6 months than at tax time.
For a lot of po' people, the annual tax refund is their savings plan. They thought they were getting free $$$ with the advanced child tax credits being paid monthly and spent that money.

Maybe if you didn't drive a gas guzzling Acura that uses premium you wouldn't have to pay $52 even w/the increased gas prices.
