Settled in about 3:30. Stuck around the house too long trying to let Lil Cit decide on his own that he wanted to pause a LEGO build and head up with me, he did not. Hoping I blast a stinky old buck as a teaching moment.

20 minutes after I posted this statement this morning I shot the biggest buck in my life. It was scored by two different people and came in at 165.75 and 166 and weighted 219.

ETA for pics:

As a fellow SW MS hunter, I'd have to agree. We have a "it's brown it's down problem" with some of the members. Which I know someone is gonna drag me for saying that based off of threads I've been reading this week but oh well.

ETA that is a stud, mind sharing what county you're in? I'm in Lamar.

We enforce strick deer management with high fines to deter shooting small deer. Can't control the property around us though.

Dudes a pro-bigass buck and drops him in a road.

That skinning rack slab with creek right beside it looks familiar.

Awesome deer though!

If he’s not mounting it, I will. I wouldn’t even tell people I shot it.

“Nice deer where’d you shoot it”
“Oh it’s not mine”
“Who shot it”
“Some dude on tiger droppings named bruslytiger, said he wasn’t gonna shoulder mount it.”
*stares confused*
“Yep”

Seriously, that’s one of the finest racks I’ve ever seen, he’s got it all height, width, mass, color, and just enough character

I killed the biggest deer of my life exactly 7years ago today and held the horns up till the day that my taxidermist needed them to mount the deer. I told one of my buddies I’m somewhat sorry I mounted him because when I had the horns I was able to hold them and bring them on my porch and drink coffee with him, I relived tbat hunt every time and being able to hold them was different than just looking at him. Maybe I’m just Fd up
