RiceTec is the only company that sales hybrid rice? I left Ag research long ago (college) but I never would have thought that. No wonder their rice is so expensive.

I remember when the shite hit the fan over some 15ish years ago.
I thought BASF was working on some during or shortly after that. What ever happened with that?
I figured it was on the market by now.
Specifically Clearfield, how can that not be considered a GMO?

*I couldn’t wait for your answer and just googled it. I guess what I figured was “GMO” was actually “EMS”. I always assumed that was technically “GMO”.
Thanks for teaching me something tonight. I probably would have never known the difference.

nothing is getting frozen out of their food sourc. The most ducks I have ever seen have been in Feb on the Missouri and Platte River insane numbers. They weren't going home.

Could’ve been heading north and stopped along the way?

They're everywhere then!! I propose 45 day season from Jan 1 to February 14 and a reduce mallard limit to 3.

I was working in the rice industry when that happened back in 2006. Escape occurred at LSU's rice research station. Genetically modified material from Bayers' LibertyLink variety cross pollinated into LSU's Chenier variety and, if I'm remembering correctly, I think it was European customers who were testing their imported rice that discovered the escape. Lots of lawsuits that eventually all fell in Bayer's lap.

This was all after the Starlink corn GMO escape.

It could be 25/30 and it wouldn’t matter today, you only hunted one time and killed over 5

My son is in Lonoke hunting this morning with his roommate at AR

There are lots of birds there after this front. Not sure how many they’ve killed but birds are flying according to the videos he’s sent.

It was a good hunt. I like to shoot. We got a 8 yo and a 10 yo their first ducks. Was hoping for some greenheads for them, but they're on cloud nine.

They also had their first Argo rides. They weren't so sure about it early this am when we swam'em about 250 yards to get to my hole, but they enjoyed the ride out.
