42 mallards and 24 darks and 17 snows. 2 of the ducks had jewlery, all out of the same field this morning. Was probably the best hunt of the season thus far.

There’s a lot of birds up there. Had friends smoking them in MT a couple weeks ago too.

I hunted in snow and plenty of ice this morning. Still no push of new birds into the area. Last year I would see flight birds when fronts like this would come thru, this year nada.

There’s a shite load of birds up here. Problem is being able to get on the ground. But there’s plenty of public along the snake where one can be very successful.

What was the situation….flooded grain fields? How many blinds, etc?

That is a stellar hunt!

Just found a pile of mallards feeding on a mud flat. Should have a good one in the morning.

A lot more birds today. Probably due to everything less than 18” deep was frozen.

Hunted Venice today. Not many birds. Still ended with a 2 man limit in a couple hours, but a couple balls of teal carried us.

They feed on air where we are. Never see them land.

Probably push out the few teal there? But you can get your limit of black bellies.
