There are a lot of bald eagles, and they should be protected. Hawks and roadrunners on the other hand, should be shot on spot. They decimate quail/pheasant and there should be a bounty on both.

I takes a really sorry soul to kill such a beautiful creature.

I know a guy who accidentally poisoned one and pleaded guilty to avoid possible jail time. Years later George W. Bush pardoned him.

Why, why, why would anyone feel compelled to shoot a bald eagle?
Maybe they're big turkey hunters and the eagle was eating all of their birds.

I saw two on the drive in this morning. One flying over I-55, and the second was on a telephone pole by its nest on I-10 over the spillway area. Great to see them.

I had a lease in Kansas years ago that was one of the best pieces for turkey hunting that I had ever seen. Was on the river with plenty of ag.
A bald eagle moved in on the biggest point, made a huge nest, and that was a wrap for turkey hunting. The numbers dwindled and I finally got rid of the lease because that was the only reason I had it. That damn thing would buzz my decoys and make shite loads of noise every time I set up.
The damn thing is still there, too.

Weird how the government basically only protects predator species. As they wipe out game populations. Elk are loving the wolf introduction
Idiots.
Idiots.

A guy I went to high school with had a stuffed bald eagle in his double-wide when the feds arrested him for the acre of pot he had growing in Truxno. Not sure which taxidermist he used.
