Borris as far them shooting high u can adjust the cast (lt or rt) and point of impact w the shims supplied
W the B guns. I think factory point of impact is set at 60% but u can adjust from 50 to 65%. I set my guns at 55%, i like a flat shooting gun. Lots of good features on the guns.

Bump for help..

Just this weekend I started having issues with my a400. The firing pin isn't striking the primer hard enough to shoot.

I have taken the gun apart, even removed my firing pin to see if there was anything in there keeping it from performing how it should, still does not shoot.

Has anyone had this issue?

ETA: 2 year old gun and I've shot roughly 8-9 cases of steel shot through it.

Had one for 4 years now. Initially, shoot bigger shells. had a hard time breaking in at range on 2 3/4 low brass.

Now it doesn't miss a cycle if I keep it clean, which is maybe once a season.

Is the bolt closing completely that would possibly cause the hammer to not make contact with the firing pin?

Have you taken the trigger group out of the gun to inspect it?

Oh I know, it was shooting 95/05 ish out of the box, I put a taller high viz sight on it and shimmed it and its now about 65/35 but I have gotten used to aiming lower with it so no complaints.

The SV is god awful hideous but the damn thing is like a tank and you can abuse it like a red headed step-child and all it does it shoot.

It’s a shame they discontinued the Super Vinci. I love mine

Hold

I would dissanble the bolt and trigger group. Take it out and clean. Reassemble w light coat of clp. Lots of youtube vids to help w instructions. They are easy to take apart.
Could be something caught in either part and not letting pin fully function. Good luck

I’ve had 2 and love them. Bought a sbe3 few months ago and it wouldn’t cycle. Single shot in the duck blind ain’t where you want to be. Put the sbe3 up and pulled Beretta back out. Typically run 3.5” 3’s thru it but went down to heavy metal 3” 3’s last wknd for the first time in a long time and absolutely blistered the birds. Must be a choke/shell thing.

My FiL hunts with one. It is one of the sweetest firing and handling guns I’ve ever shot. Honestly, I love my Super Nova, but I’d drop the cash for one in a heartbeat.

I don’t know what it is with Hevi Shot and Berettas but they must be a match made in heaven. My Extrema Plus shoots lights out with 3” 4’s with a mid-range aftermarket choke. Same with my Outlander. I have been contemplating shooting some 3.5” just for shits and giggles to see how they cycle but been way yo pleased with the 3” shells.
