for whatever reason, academy's chinese-made store brand (game winner) is 10x better quality than redhead

Last two trip to Cabelas in Gonzales; MinnKota tm mounting bracket (found a live body who said they may have one in warehouse
), front casting seat for boat (zero on the floor but probably some in warehouse
). PIA to get there so from now on i will amazon prime my items.

Modern retail is changing because of the online world. They can sell you something online for the same price as in the store with much less overhead. And now most stores offer free two day shipping with a relatively low minimum purchase. I usually just keep low priced non-essentials in my cart or on a wish list until I have enough to cover the min. The storefronts are just as much about marketing as they are about sales. Just look at all the wasted space in Bass Pro for the animal mounts and aquarium. They don't necessarily care that you buy something every time you walk in so long as their name stays in your head.

I can operate the internet that well myself.
You must not be able to. You can check specific stores to see if they have an item in stock

Bottom line is that Bass Pro is turning into another Walmart clone.
Show me a Wal Mart that carries Sitka, UA, Lacrosse, Muck, Browning, Tikka, PSE, Bear , HHA, etc.

I just left the one here in Memphis. They have at least 6 Browning X Bolts on the rack. They had exactly zero rings or bases to fit said X Bolts. Just makes no sense.

has anyone tried to exchange something using cable's "legendary guarantee" since the merger? when i google it, it just brings me to a blank page on cabala's website. not sure if bass pro will honor cabela's guarantee.

The good part about Bass Pro being the Wal-Mart of the outdoor world is the liberal allowances of the return policy.

Anyone wanna buy my Basspro gift cards?
You can use your gift cards to purchase a firearm from Dury's Gun Shop in San Antonio. (I recall hearing there was a way to do this without going to the store, call or email to verify)

This would be so easy to scam.

Walmart Sitka
Walmart UA
Walmart Lacrosse
Walmart Browning
Walmart HHA
I'll quit there but Walmart sells all the same shite as everyone else these days.

Oh, and their sales people are just about as clueless as the Walmart and Home Depot people.
I’ve literally never had this happen at the Bass Pro in Denham. Ever. Biggest complaint is they had a hard time keeping staff in their Archery shop this season because they apparently had a guy quit last min and the girl that’s constantly trying to get me to sign up for a credit card or one of their trip packages. The fellas that work the reel bar have always been very helpful and even down sold me on a rod/reel combo I’ve been very pleased with.

Chinese shite like BassPro has. Also getting rid of name brands and implementing the Johnny Morris BS for all their fishing stuff will not bode well for them in my opinion.
This is what's pushing me away and will ultimately cause me to cancel my cabela's credit card and go somewhere else. ALL of the Cabela's products that compete with his products are being removed. Unfortunately those products were the reason I shopped there. Now I can just go to Academy for 80% the price. Ole' Johnny at it again ruining good things.

I guess you have trouble reading, because none of that is sold at/by Wal Mart (other than one HHA sight ). It clearly says sold and shipped by X company which means ZERO of those products are available in the store. If I’m going to order online I’m not buying from Bass Pro, Cabelas, or Wal Mart. I’m going to the cheapest I can find.
Even if it was sold by WalMart.com I said
The statement from the girl was also bullshite.

Since the merger, I only buy Cabelas gear off of Ebay. It is the only thing I ever go to Ebay for. I hate Ebay. I hate Bass Pro more. I got a damn Cabelas gift card from an employee for Christmas. I haven't figured out what to do with it.
