Just left Seigen academy. They had Vendettas for 79.99 but one or two with a 49.99 sticker on it. I snagged it and checked out. Register said 79.99. Manager overrides and I'm out the door. Am I lucky or did I just steal 30 bucks of rod from Academy?

There are several that make damn good rods with great warranties. I haven't had any problems with All-Star rods.

I paid $80 for mine last week. Can I have your sticker? I'm going to return it and buy it again.

Im completely biased to St. Croix rods in particular. I have fished in every type of water(even deep see) with it and the performance has been phenomenal.

St. Croix 7' Med-Heavy with any Shimano is like bringing a AR-15 to a pistol fight it's just not fair.

Deep sea? With your bass rod? Did you see any tuna eating falcons?

In West Palm Beach we would throw a Buck-tail Jig down a seaweed line or a huge log and catch Dolphin. Sometimes we would have to free spool it if it was ripping out line. It's a lot of fun, makes catching the fish more enjoyable. I was in high school at the time.

Btw it's not a bass rod it's a Tidemaster 7', I mainly use it for bass now seeing as I'm in landlocked BR.

Sweet deal on that rod. I've never fished them but KR seems to like them. I'm a Falcon guy and I picked up a Falcon Cara miss marked at cablea's for $99.99 should have been $199.99 a couple of months ago.

Well, you could return it. Then buy it a week later when they sell it as returned merch.....

I totally forgot about my Falcons. Another one that has been pretty bullet proof.

I had two Falcons and they both snapped. I'll never buy another.
