Let’s not act like the bro was just some innocent bystander. He was talking shite just as much as the other guy was.
While it doesn’t excuse the charter guy’s action, but he was far from just minding his own business and to top it off, he completely bitched out after talking all that shite.

The mad captain left the scene and came back later to argue it out. He was out there with his boys and decided to be a bad arse to them when he came back in by jumping that kid. Thats all it was. If he would have been so pissed about someone calling him a name, he would not have kept going earlier that day. He would have stopped then and there. This was nothing more than a ego trip for him
Plus, and I dont know how many days you spend on the water. If you have it out with every single person that flips you off or calls you a name out there, you are going to be a busy man and need your own cut man.
He blew the bridge and basically swamped all the boats fishing under the bridge, which is just bad, then he jumped the kid to show off to the other guys in his boat
And in turn, he lost his livelihood and reputation for life. Hope it was worth it
