That bottom pic is a cool looking deer. Is that a Loggerhead Shrike in the picture too?

Got em! Not a trophy, but a heavy young one. I'll take it. Now on to file an auto claim...

Norwood was one of my favorite places to hunt. We hunted there for several years when I was growing up. Killed my 1st deer off back on Lost Creek . Great memories.

Thanks.

Had to make two trips to pack him out. I swear I started speaking in tongues when I walked up on him. It happened so quick I didn't have time to get shook up until after I shot. When I shot I was looking at the body more than the rack, just saw he was an old deer. Has the roman nose.

150 yard shot. Came in with a doe at 7 and they about ran me over. Disappeared into a finger of brush and when he popped out I was ready.

He's either a 10 or 11, haven't measured the kicker yet. One of his brow tines is a triple.

Lock-On

Kill plot on a ridge between two drains. Tons of pictures of does with a few young bucks scattered in. Getting closer to the start of the rut, so I’m hoping to ground check this really big 6pt this morning before the rest of the weekend goes to putting my kids on some deer.

I’ll also settle for one of the 2 giant boars I’m getting on camera. Those bastards are wiping out my gravity feeders.

Well, nothing to shoot, but saw 7. Button buck stayed in the food plot for about 2.5 hours. I could have spit on him.

4 does, none of them came into bow range.

1 big spike that bullied that poor button buck. Then walked off just below my lock-on.

Not a bad morning, my neighbor shot a decent one off of my property behind the camp.

Smithdale missippi. The oldest and I are up until tomorrow morning. He smacked a doe right at legal light this morning. Just had 5 turkeys pass. 444 for him and .350 legendary for me.

I lost service and just got it back. It’s been a crappy day due to the fog, but hopefully it changes this afternoon.

We were at the end of Wheelock lane. Our place was next to the Milton property.
