Frozen gallon jugs are great. I keep a few in my chest freezer. If I’m packing food for a trip I use one jug in my colorless cooler and add ice to fill it up after all the food is in there. The jugs melts very slow and keeps everything cold for days. They’re not great as a drink cooler since you’ll be opening it often but for long term food storage they’re awesome.

Block ice always last longer than bag ice. Nice thing about cubes is they fill the nooks and crannys. But yo me the secret is saltwater that freezes at 6 degrees below zero. Freshwater freezes at 32 degrees. So the saltwater block keeps the freshwater ice frozen!
I hate giving away such a great free tip when i got all thumbs down but you sound like a practical person not into the “social influence” of advertising or worry about “ice chest fashion” . Lol. Good luck if you try it. Im packing in two days for a 2 1/2 day car trip and my Coleman is all I will take with the saltwater ice blocks and the space blanket. We will have drink ice cubes when we areive.

As a past customer I'd love to confirm the quality of said colorless coolers. If the change happens to pass by again , count me in again for a cpl of different sizes.

Just in case you are taking a head count, I’m 100% in for 3 of each size. I’d gladly help unload containers again as well. That worked out well!

I can't even begin to fathom what the freight charge is these days for a container compared to the original orders...
I'm sure that would double the cost of the coolers.

Not quite, but close. Freight was about $10 per cooler. (Based on 37qt) And a low tariff. Now freight is $30 and tariff is $20. And the coolers themselves have gone up about $5-10.
So a 37qt that was $80 would now be $130 or so. Thanks Obama. And Trump. And Biden.

I sure could use another colorless cooler or 2, but not that big one, I had to sell that dude it was too damn heavy!!
