For those of you that don't know, Kevin likes to go online and shite on other companies and justifies his own products as superior because of the type of engineering that goes into those products.

His "engineers" recently did their own sound testing, and wrongfully compared OCL's mini-version of the Polonium (Polonium K) to their own Southpaw standard size version. They ultimately got called out in the comments forit.

Look for @kevinbrittingham6774 in the comments. Here are view:

Commenter: I’m sold. Getting the OCL Polonium. Thanks Q
Kevin: Maybe you’ll get a raise next year?

Commenter: So the Polonium is 1/2 the price of the Q with less length, less weight, and is only 3 decibels off the Q..... That's a no-brainer purchasing decision
Kevin: Not a good value at even 1/2 the price. But, Savage makes stuff that makes sense for a lot of the Reddit crowd.

Q Southpaw: $1149 (Silencer Shop)

OCL Polonium: $532 (Silencer Shop)

OCL Polonium K: $522 (Silencer Shop)

Yeah, I don't mind some of the Q products. I have the trash panda. It was available and lighter than the other options available at the time and I was too impatient to wait. But the Kevin guy can be a bit much and don't think he's doing any favors for his company's image for sure.

If there's one thing I've learned, don't pimp your companies products on internet forums. You'll get shredded. Make good stuff and your customers will pimp it for you.

Silencers are pretty simple for the most part.

It's cones with holes in the center stacked on top of each other. That's about it save for the new ones that are low blowback and 3d printed.

I have a couple of Q cans and I like them both a lot. Also met Kevin and his head engineer Ethan. They were both very nice guys.

But if you are going to run your mouth, you better be right on your shite. Interesting that he didn't have Cat stuff in his comparison. It's pretty stupid quiet and low blowback.

I think he's just playing a numbers game. Get a lot of social media out there. Have people see your brand. Ton's of people aren't going to research it too deeply. I just think he's pushing it a bit too far with the shite talk. That's what's going to bite him.

Q def subscribes to the "any press is good press" mantra. I'm sure he's smart and a nice guy, but I've stayed away from their stuff because of some of the dumb shite he does/says.

Price differences for silencers are weird. Not always a straightforward reason either.

I get big price jumps if there is a difference in materials or tech, but all things being relatively equal, its nuts to see some silencers 40% more expensive than others.

Makes it tough to decide what is right for me. With that in mind, do any of you have any experience with OCL's Hydrogen series? Looking at the Hydrogen K specifically. Also looking at the Resilient Jolene

I’ll give Kevin props for the taper qd mounts, I have cherry bombs on my rifles, but no area to wrench on is kinda dumb. I didn’t even think on it when I bought it. I used rock set and so far ok.

Going with rearden mounts if I even have issues.

Now, his cans are over priced. Absolutely insane anyone would buy it. I loved Brandon’s (deligent defense) comments on Texas Predator Podcast on how he knows the costs associated with making them.

Buy Deligent Defense cans if you can. Cheaper and just as good.

As most industries the higher cost typically is for the companies who are more innovative and put money into research and development. Other products might be cheaper but they "copy" what the innovators are doing at a fine line of not "copying". I have a trash panda and cherry bomb plan B muzzle devices. They are great for what they are, but I am not a big fan of Q and Kevin come off as a douche.

...11 year old me made a quieter suppressor than that out of pvc, steel wool, grease, wood pucks, and a metric shite ton of metal and standard duct tape.

It’s on the front. It’s a socket. 9/16 or 11/16 or something like that.

So easy you could possibly make one in your garage with grommets and a tube.

Kind of useless if it gets carbon locked on your suppressor. Not that it should happen if you rocksett it correctly.

Kevin: Why are you using rocksett? Can you not follow instructions and torque the muzzle device properly? And you should be using a tapered barrel. It requires more torque to remove the MD than it does for install. Durrrr!!!
