For those who've gotten your coolers, are your latches real loose? Unlike my Yeti, these latches are loose and not pulling down on the lid very much. Maybe the lid is heavy enough that it will still keep a good seal.

If you want to do so I bought yeti handles plugs and t latches and replaced all the rtic stuff with the better yeti accesories. I think it was like 35 dollars

FWIW- The latches do not seem to be as tight as the Yetis that Ive played w/ in the stores--but Im ok with "bear-resistant"; don't need "bear-proof". Hate the latches on K2s. The lid hinges seem to be solid. Will probably replace the drain plug with a Yeti version when/if the Rtic one wears out. Its a solid as hell cooler. I stood on top of mine and jumped up and down on it to show off in front of the wife when it came in Wednesday. She liked that we now have a "pretty" cooler and we dont have to show up with one of my "nasty lookin" igloos with blood stains and fish guts and god knows what on it.

Yeah, I'll probably change some stuff out eventually. I'll see how it compares to my Yeti this weekend

was gonna get a 45 and figured might as well get the 65 for $17 extra bucks. White was sold out. Seems like they are not producing any more inventory

I don't have any yet but my buddies 65 is tight. And its hard to even open the lid sometimes it makes such a tight vacuum.

I'm gonna take it this weekend to MS and see how it performs. If I'm unhappy with it I'll contact RTIC next week and hopefully they'll help me out.

My latches are good and snug. But my lid hinge isn't as stiff as my Yeti, I have to have lid all the way up for it to stay up
