Well both of forms have been submitted. My dealer has been trying to get forms into the ATF for 5 days now, he has been successful on one that was done in his shop. Mine are the 2nd and 3rd total he has gotten submitted successfully and first ones done remotely. On the first can we got the error code System Admin Error 5 times, on the second can we were kicked off after 9 tries. Luckily it saved all my info when he logged back in and after 7 more tries the second one went through. Now I wait on the feds, supposedly they are still reviewing ones that paid for the stamps and will do all of those before starting on the ones submitted after the first with 0$ stamps.

Just figured I’d update the board.

Well I apparently didn’t see the text from my dealer but my can has been waiting for me to pickup since the 5th

Submitted Jan-1 to avoid tax stamp charge and Jan-5 for pickup. That’s pretty damn quick.

Still haven’t got my scope from optics planet though

Same.

It'll be interesting to see the average wait times for January when the ATF releases them.

I’m guessing buying it mid December helped me get in front of the line for folks who waited until Jan 1 to order.

Dealer said I was one of the 1st ones through at their place.

I paid for mine peak new year rush so it should be a decent case study for worst-case.

Or a YMH Turbo T3...shopping is fun, I'll probably go somewhere and ask questions.

I've got one and I'm pleased w/ it. I run it on my 20 VarTarg bolt action handgun.

I think Tigeronthehill's gun purchasing decisions went the same way as robin williams' description of inventing golf - how can we make this as difficult and miserable as possible?

My dealer said 150 cans that had tax stamp delayed 95 of them have been approved. Said the fastest approval was 1 hr and 50 minutes.

Great for you, I'm still waiting. Tomorrow will be a week, hoping to have them by the weekend.

I did the full trust. Each one is added no cost. I’m ok with silencer shop getting some cut. They have been fine with me. They even handled the one I bought 3rd party. I did nothing but show up and sign when needed. My shop uses them and I use that shop. I don’t recall paying an extra $50 for any of mine?

Me neither, curious what that references. At first I thought maybe single shot trusts, but those are only $25 and are optional. No clue where the Silencer Shop hate comes from, I’ve never had an issue or paid a penny over cost of the can. My Form 3’s are always filed within a day, and approved and shipped quickly with no transfer fee due to my local kiosk.

Just check my receipt for my last couple and no charges for anything but trust, can, and tax. Plus I feel like they have good prices. They have a PTR vent 1 for $1299 and other places have it there up to $1499.

r/NFA is telling me the $50 is the ATF processing fee they charge for doing the paperwork for you.

Google says:

Silencer Shop itself doesn't charge for the ATF paperwork processing; they offer it as part of their service, but the independent dealers might charge fees for using their kiosks or for NFA transfer/processing, often around $40-$50 for the kiosk and potentially more for form processing/transfer, though post-2026, the $200 tax stamp is gone. Fees vary by dealer, so check with your specific local shop.

You’re not very good at this.

All kind of wrong info all in this thread

I’m sure some dealer may charge but I’ve never paid anything from silencer shop or dealer that I’ve used.

I also did not pay any additional fees. Maybe my dealer got the silencer from them?

All I know is with multiple people on my trust, it’s a lot easier for me to use my Silencer Shop registration to submit.
