at the most, the new director will probably back off on some of the more recent rulings that are currently being litigated:

pistol brace
FRTs
frames and receivers

but that's wishful thinking. Trump is pro-red-flag-laws so don't expect much pro-gun legislation to come through this administration.

It's too much money for them, no matter who is in charge. They will throw us some bones, likely as poster above said, and we will keep paying $200 a pop.....

Supreme Court just heard Vanderstok vs Garland. I’m no lawyer so please correct me…the case involved upper, lowers and parts for making “ghost guns” as they call them. Suppressors are included in the argument. If the ruling goes well the ATF will have to remove “parts” that don’t actually create a gun. That would include suppressors. We should all be bombardig the justices with emails..ruling should come down by July

no
the ATF as an enforcement tool will be useful to him and the NFA reduces risk to the ATF and keeps it funded and deployed

His unconstitutional order on bump stocks should have given you some insight.

I'd be interested on the Chevron case and how applicable it is to things like the NFA and the making of laws by unauthorized entities like the ATF.

Similar to the EPA overstep.

Seems cut and dry and it is only a matter of time before this too falls.

Until they actually create a law to stop it.

Bump stock ban happened in his first term. Don't expect him to do us many favors in this space.

What’s the latest on bump stocks and pistol braces? Are they legal again?

There was some optimism at the beginning of first term that legislation would change the law on suppressors. The Las Vegas massacre in 2017 seemed to chill that optimism even though a suppressor was not used.

There are still bills floating around to make silencers sales similar to sales of long-guns, but there are also bills to completely ban the sale, importation, possession, etc. A list of them is at this site. American Suppressor Association

Trump is not conservative, pro gun or pro freedom... where do you get that he will improve gun laws when his records has him doing the opposite.

100% legal based on SCOTUS decision earlier this year

pistol braces?

legal for now due to the 5th Circuit decision. expect an appeal from the Feds if there isn't one already. it, too, will probably come down to a SCOTUS decision

Chevron Decision is going to do more damage to the NFA than Trump.

Trump is realistically apathetic to soft anti-2A. He was president when they banned bump stocks, and he has mentioned red flag laws in a positive light.

^^ agreed, I like Trump but he's not the 2nd Amenment POTUS we need - hoping that an upcoming President Vance will be more in that vein

Today's assassination of the health insurance CEO with a suppressed weapon won't help either.

New York has laws against that pistol.

They didn't stop anything.
