I’ve got bibs over 20 years old I still wear from Santa.

I kick around getting new camo every year, but I just love the Browning bibs and parka I got in about 2002. I melted a zipper on the bibs hanging them over a floor furnace about 15 years ago. Took them to a seamstress last week to get new zippers on the chest and other leg.

Best gift I’ve ever gotten though was a Ruger Model 77 Mark II .270 with a crazy looking laminated stock… Was used at a local gun shop and I was awe struck as a 13 year old. Dad recognized it, and went back and bought it and gave it to me Christmas morning. Put one of those Bushnell scopes on it that you shine a light in and it would illuminate the reticle for a few minutes at dusk. I really thought I was hot shite. Pretty unremarkable gun, but means the world to me.

My birthday is at the end of October so all my outdoors related gifts were usually birthday presents that I’d get in September before hunting season started. Plenty clothes, tree stands, guns, etc. One year I got a Rem 870 20 ga and the next was a Rem 700 .308 with a buck masters scope. Still have and use both today. Have killed a ton of squirrels and deer over the years with them. Just recently took the 870 with us on our Colorado deer/elk trip. Had a good time shooting doves and teal in the plains on our way back home.

Same. Loved that bike. Was yours susceptible to water getting into the points during water crossings? I never could quite stop that issue and had to remove the cover after it died until the points dried out.

I just installed mine, 2 new Lowrance Elite FS 9’s on my skeeter. I’m old and a purist will never own live scope. This will be the rubicon for me. Merry Christmas

In 1984 @ 11 years old I got my first pair of lacrosse irrigation boots for hunting. Before that it was tennis shoes or leather boots. It was nice to have dry feet for a change!!!

Close! In November of 1985 (I was 13), came around to the back yard and got my early Christmas present, a 1986 Big Red 250. I would love to know what the hours \ miles were on that thing when it finally died.

3 years later I opened up a 12 ga. 870 on Christmas morning. It's brought home all manner of small game, ducks, hogs and deer!

I gifted myself a Yamaha TTR 225 dirt bike 24 years ago and it is still a good running bike for woods and trails.

When I was 16 my dad took me to Mr. Saltzman’s place. He bought me a speck call and Mr Saltzman tuned it for me and taught me the basics while calling specks in his back yard. Still remember that to this day. It’s the only speck call I’ve ever had and I still use the heck out of it today. Those calls were gold when I was in high school.
