The thing that really get my attention based on today, is that Jesus clearly said that the end days would be very similar to the days of Noah and Lott
And one of the main descriptors of Noah’s days was the land was filled with violence

That particular scripture is what it is, a description of how things will be in the last days. It isn’t meant to be an exhaustive or all conclusive description of those times.
You're missing the point. It's a vague description full of generalities that can literally apply to any time period in history.

And every generation thinks they apply to their current situation.
And they should. Every generation should be at a constant ready for Jesus’ return.

Because other than for brief periods in certain locales, history is full of violence.

I am by no means perfect and don’t have all of the answers but when I read this I immediately think of the “Christians” that say Jesus would be ok with gay marriage and men or women calling themselves the opposite sex. Or the ones that say you hate someone because you disagree with gay marriage or abortions. They claim if you hate the sin (or even call it a sin), you hate the person themself and you can’t separate the two. Which totally flies in the face of “hate the sin, not the sinner”.
I admit, I could get to the pearly gates and be totally wrong but there’s no evidence that I’m aware of that says Christ would be ok with those things. Of course we still love the person but we don’t agree with what they’re doing.
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.-Eph 6:12
Your thinking is confirmed here. Our battle SHOULD occur in the Spirit. Not in the flesh. The following verses refer to the armor of God. The only weapon we have is the "sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God (Eph 6:17)" That is our only weapon, and that is how we are instructed to battle.
"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."-Eph 6:18
How often do we pray in the Spirit? How often are we taught what praying in the Spirit is?

Most people alive today (especially in the West) have no idea what "filled with violence" truly looks like. You don't want to know either.

And your missing my point.
Paul never said the things happening in the last days would be unique to the last days only. He simply said these things would be happening in the last days.
If in the last days, men would be engaging in peaceful relationships and all getting along, he would have said that.

Yes, and according to Flavius Josephus, Noah’s days we’re also full of gross sexual perversion, especially homosexual perversion
I’m with Henry, “hate the sin, love the sinner”
I was told once (by a group of guys that worked at a Restaurant that was a client of mine), “You know why we like you? Because you are gay friendly”
I’m pretty sure those same guys would label me a “homophobe” now…

quote:
You should know this, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.
2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.
3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.
4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.
5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that
Which period in history wasn't like that?

If all you watch is TV , yes this our reality . Its a different reality outside of the propaganda box .

he would not be. yet they are still welcome to repent.
people want to change the rules to fit their view. it does not work like that and they cannot handle the truth.

The sign I'm looking for is when the Jews rebuild the temple. Might want to get things in order about then.

Again, this is simply a few verses of many which predict the atmosphere of the last days. There are more specific ones, like predicting a one world government, cashless society, and a time where a mark is needed to by, sell or trade.
But you’d discount those as well.

I probably would, because believe it or not, those have been around in one form another throughout history too.
