Alaska is so low because the Biden admin has gutted the oil and gas industry. Absolutely devastated that beautiful state.
Might be one of most uniformed posts I’ve ever read aside from the outright delusional posts about Q and the likes.

You love that wording.

By the metrics this loony poll/rating used, I consider #49 for Mississippi as bragging rights.

TN, TX, and AL are all in the bottom six for qualify of life. What on earth are their metrics?!?
Edit - fine with me because I don’t want them living in my state anyway

We look at worker protections. We look at inclusiveness in state laws, including protections against discrimination of all kinds, as well as voting rights, including accessible and secure election systems. With studies showing that childcare is one of the main obstacles to employees returning to the workforce, we consider the availability and affordability of qualified facilities. And with surveys showing a sizeable percentage of younger workers would not live in a state that bans abortion, we factor reproductive rights in this category as well.
Well, no wonder they have NC at 32. Life is pretty damn good here, but since we have one of the lowest union labor participation rates, state wide voter ID laws and stricter abortion laws likely coming; I’m sure theses leftists are blowing their lid.

Two factors specifically cited for Bama were
A. No mail in voting
B. No access to female bathrooms for transgenders.
This in the separate article about Alabama making the greatest improvement in rankings.

They have Alabama QOL at 48. All actual business metrics are very favorable for Alabama

Louisiana ranked at #20 in education? Hmmm. #50 in workforce. I know there are those educated people who leave for better states, but how is education ranked 20th?

The have had a massive immigration of highly educated/intelligent people low on social pathology who have raised children who are highly intelligent and become highly educated with low social pathology. They also aren't exactly economically conservative and pay lots of local/state taxes, but, most importantly, they have largely efficiently allocated these taxes (which states like Louisiana cannot seem to ever do).
That's a lot of words to say... Bloated government spending propping up a sectored economy
