Wonder how much money from her campaign war chest she had to pay him for that. And she won't resign her Senate seat for the gov. run meaning if she wins, she will have to be paid by her replacement as she will be doing the appointing.

This should be the predicate to launch an investigation to where those funds came from and is there a pattern of donor contributions who are also being charged federally for fraud.

In a way, perhaps.

I saw a guest on Newsmax yesterday (not sure who she was) state that she anticipated Klobuchar might run for governor, and if she won, that she would appoint Walz to her Senate seat.

This would be a way to:
1) keep power with Klobuchar appearing to have cleaner hands than Walz (as of now)
2) give Walz some political cover from his failures / active involvement in the fraud that he'd face as a candidate
3) reward Walz with a Senate appointment for stepping aside without him needing to run against someone who would campaign against his corruption. (I guess if Klobuchar were to win, she could appoint Tim since it wouldn't be an election year for her Senate seat.) I think the lady speaking to this point yesterday suggested Walz would be more protected legally if they could stash him in the Senate.

So, it wouldn't be surprising if Dem leadership (including Amy) did ask Tim to step aside.

I'm hopeful that whatever "surged" assets the Feds are sending are productive enough in effecting justice to make this scenario unlikely, but we'll have to wait and see.

If she offered to appoint him to her Senate seat as I outlined in my post just below yours... that's not nothing. It would set him up nicely for ongoing grift.

It’s a waste of money to run a GOP candidate. If you are Republican you should move to a Red State.

The machine told Walz to move on. They sensed an opening for republicans and shut it down. And the voters don't care.

You are only shielded from certain crimes as a sitting Senator - felony not one of said crimes.

Fair point.

Since I cited the guest on Newsmax, I should be clear that this lady didn't spell out what protected meant, and I may have misrepresented what she actually said by saying "legally protected" (I'm just trying to remember what i heard yesterday)... she might've only said "protected" and might've been implying it was a way to keep him in a position of power in a way that allowed him to avoid the bad press he would've faced if running for governor again.

Looking at the depth of corruption in that state you have to think the elections are far from above board. Not sure a Republican really has a chance statewide there until and unless their elections are above board.

This seems like a step down for a Senator.

It only makes sense if the grift and money trough produced in Minnesota was of such key importance to the Democrat party and they need someone in there to try and keep it going.

You're on the right path and I agree with you, just telling you what is and what isn't covered as a sitting Senator. Civil cases they are shielded from as well ironically enough.

Seems like a shade of trying to keep a part of the cover up in office to keep the grift going.

Minnesota needs new blood in office up there.

The insanity is that Minnesota voters will likely elect her in the midst of all of this Democrat fraud.
