Congressmen and women should be largely voluntary.
A small salary to cover travel and meals is OK but they should not be making 175k
They also should live in their districts full time unless congress is in session.
It should be treated as a civic duty not a career

She says a lot of crazy shite but the title takes her comments out of context.
She is referring to a cost of living increase which is what people should have been getting for years but employers have just become too greedy unfortunately.

Indeed.

She is... the people she constantly demonizes... while being too ignorant and self-aware to realize it.

you sound like a union guy, or a municipal worker. raises are earned, not given. seniority, or years on the job to not dictate raises.
In the real world, you create your own raises. Sometimes it requires short term sacrifice. sometimes it does not. either way, you become the best and owners of companies will pay you appropriately.
Back to AOC....while I am not a proponent of this, term limits will obviously get rid of the "career politician". I understand that every election is term limits, but there are too many uninformed voters out there.

Why doesn't she do like Hillary and write a book? Hillary got huge money from the publishers regardless of sales and AOC's book would be a helluva lot more interesting.

In the real world,
She’s no different now than when she stole tips from her coworkers. “I’m poor so it’s OK to be immoral” is nothing more than an immature excuse.

So are your taxes or the price of goods "earned" when they go up?
Posted on 6/11/19 at 1:46 pm to Carl Kolchak
She’s already joining the elites. She has the privilege of voting to give herself a raise, something that most of us plebs will never have.

Those things have zero to do with my worth to my employer. To directly answer your question, those things are absolutely not earned by the degenerates using my tax dollars, nor the companies that raise their prices. Specific to the prices of goods, if i choose to buy them, then that is my choice.

Not always. When grocery stores raise the price of their goods you have no choice but to buy.

Are you talking about something specific, or inflation in general?
Day to day items generally come from stores that have significant competition. Thus, price increases are (or can be) minimized.
There is very little that people truly NEED. Keep in mind that if I am responsible, and do the proper things in my life, i am not forced into many of these “need” decisions. I can buy whatever i want. Nice to be in control of my own life. You should try it some time. Instead of waiting on someone to give you an “automatic raise.
Speaking of automatic raises....do you think this will speed up “automatic” price increases?

I gave you a down vote. Freak the HOHOHO

They could. But it shouldn't. It's not a zero sum game.

So pay them more, and outlaw lobbyist gifts, dinners, and gratuities.

This ho needs to go talk to the employees in the mailroom at the treasury department from February to May and get their opinion on that.
