DOGE is a nothingburger in the big picture. You could cut all of that spending to $0 and it wouldn't change much. Just not enough money to fix things.
A reality they simply are unwilling to acknowledge.

Yeah, funny how he "singled out" the one person who is always fond of saying "Only I can do X" AND the person recently charged with the theoretical power to do so.

The biggest issue with our govt ironically is our system was set up in such a way that it’s difficult to grow government. But that also makes it difficult to reduce the size of govt because you need supermajorities in both chambers and the presidency to pass meaningful spending cuts. Then of course the court system and activities judges

Trump doesn’t have the unilateral authority to make sweeping changes like Milei did. Our system can be a blessing and a curse

Our non-military discretionary spending is less than $1T while our deficit is almost double that. You can cut that to $0 and we're still running a deficit and adding to the debt while interest on the current debt adds more each year. That interest may actually grow larger than the non-military discretionary spending by 2025 or so.

I get it, SFP. And I'm sure Trump gets it. But there is 0% chance of winning if you run on that. In order to do anything, you have to win.

Argentina’s Javier Milei Announces 90% Tax Reduction in 2025

https://www.breitbart.com/latin-america/2024/12/11/argentinas-javier-milei-announces-90-tax-reduction-in-2025/

quote:

President of Argentina Javier Milei announced Wednesday that his administration is preparing a structural tax reform that will eliminate 90 percent of existing taxes in 2025. Milei announced the plan, alongside other policies he seeks to implement in his second year in office, while marking the end of his first. Among them was a plan to negotiate a trade deal with President-elect Donald Trump’s administration once he takes office in January.

I remember about 6 months ago when our Argentina distributor was whining about the inflation and blaming Miles as their reason for missing sales goals.

He had been in office a few months. They still didn’t understand how bad the bandaid had to hurt coming off

this has nothing to do with principles and is solely based on your need to troll conservatives on this website.

everyone here knows it, the sooner you admit it, the sooner you can stop pretending.

After this week you can't call them conservatives

They just don't like to be told they're not conservatives. That's exactly why people like you melted over my comments that only took 11 days to prove to be truthful. Maybe if you spend more time holding your leaders to account they would actually do something like decrease the government

Did you ever raise these concerns with Biden’s spending? I’m certain if you truly care about the US’s debt crisis you’d have a demonstrated history of calling it out against both, wouldn’t you?

you have a strange perception of “melt”. if calmly calling a spade a spade is melting, sure.

Yes.

But what is the point in constantly talking about what we expect them to do?

I have, but I just haven't been an emotional wreck uselessly repeating myself. We know DEMs spend. We know 2+2=4, too. Do I need to go in every thread to remind people that 2+2-4? Or would it be pointless to repeat over and over again?
