Was just about to ask this, didn't the USSC rule just a week or so ago that Trump had every right to use the act to deport them?

He knows the full 5th circuit last month heard oral arguments over the president's sole authority to invoke the Alien Enemies Act. He knows that court will very likely back the president. Then it will go to SCOTUS and it's very likely they also will back the president.
Disgusting and dangerous escalation of Boasberg's political/personal grudge to demand the return of AEA subjects deported in March (who eventually ended up back in Venezuela after a stop in El Salvador but then went to a 3rd country) and remote hearings/paper filings related to habeas petitions for those still in Venezuela.

I don't understand why we even keep sending people to argue in front of him in his courtroom. SCOTUS already ruled he can't rule on this. Just ignore him.

3. Fly those people back to the U.S.
4. Force their surrender to U.S. custody at the port of entry.
5. Conduct a habeas hearing re their newfound U.S. custody.
This is one of the most absurd opinions ever written...in the history of ever! Chock full of pejoratives about the government's disagreement with Boasberg's orders in this case (including this one) and demands that don't encroach on Article II but rather consume it whole by a district court judge.
