He deserved what he created for himself. Consequences for every choice we make. He chose to engage law enforcement in possession of a weapon.

He’s referring to the interaction between the ice agent, him, and the lady they shoved. He’s been referring to that all morning on every interview. They classify that as assault and interfering. Plus he added that him being in the street was interfering.

He specifically said the suspect was there several minutes before he was shot interfering. We have yet to see what that was.

Even if he were, that doesn’t change anything about the killing.

They are following ice around and engaging and obstructing them in the middle of raids. That is a felony. So by being armed in the commission of a felony that is another felony.

Of course he was. He did not teleport himself in the middle of the street five seconds before the video started.

Does not change the fact that he was shot and killed after being disarmed.

You’ve made it clear that you don’t think ICE should be operating in Minnesota due to the pushback they’re getting. That you can’t see the rank hypocrisy in this take when you’ve spent tens of thousands of posts in this forum perched atop your moral legal high ground is just *chef’s kiss* ironic.

I think a lot of this is conceptual for people like you. You don't understand how limited federal resources are. There will never be the same level of application of federal law in all areas. The same goes for subject matter.

I think the DHS has a budget larger than most militaries. But we aren’t talking about equal levels of application though, are we? Don’t try to crawfish, you’ve said yourself you want ICE out of MN because of the pushback and the polling. Sorry, that’s not how a functioning justice system works.

maybe resources wouldnt seem so limited of the local government wasnt being ordered to hang federal agents out to dry as these psychos try to obstruct justice.

YOU replied:

I don't think a taser is a feasible option when the guy has a gun on him, but I understand your point to some extent. The other argument is that when you're that up close and personal, the slightest struggle can turn deadly because all you need to do is pull the trigger. There is no need to aim. That’s exactly why I asked. I don’t think it’s a typo for one minute.100%.

I’m right wing but I do think they shot him when they didn’t need to but I understand that in the heat of the moment and the presence of the gun that it can happen.

Remember the DC police killed an unarmed woman with impunity so the level of consistency in the reaction to the shooting seems politically driven.

My claim is shoving that woman has nothing to do with immigration enforcement unless she was an illegal.

She had also been standing in the middle of the road interfering with traffic, hence the officer shoving her towards the sidewalk. Without context that shove and the quick pepper spraying look overly aggressive, but we don't know how long she had been interfering with the operation, how many warnings she had or had not been given, or what her previous interactions with law enforcement had been.

They had already begun crowd control measures and were creating a perimeter clearing out the trash agitators.
