Objectively, was it that bad? View it in the light of a center left democrat.
That wouldn't be "objective." Center-left democrats are the core Kamala vote.
Objective would be viewing it from the perspective of a moderate, independent voter who just wants America to run well and prosper so they can get on with their life.
Viewed from that perspective it was like a trainwreck and a dumpster fire had a love child.

have you seriously averaged over 15 posts a day in the 4,500+ days you've been a member on this site
no wonder

Are you ever going to denounce the attempted murder of Trump?
Posted on 10/16/24 at 9:29 pm to icheerforgeorgia
That is nothing. Doesn't slowflopro have like 500,000 posts? Looked it up. SFP has 434,000 posts.

Generally, that’s how I view myself.
That interview was an absolute abomination. Anyone who votes for that woman is immediately an idiot in my book.

She was point blank asked why 79% of Americans thought America was going in the wrong direction and she whipped out the biggest TDS Orange Man Bad of all time. It was embarrassing even if you attempt the mental gymnastics to understand what she was getting at
It was objectively horrible.

Bret: "How many immigrants would you estimate have entered the country in the last 3.5 years?"
Harris: "I agree with you. Immigration is a topic of discussion."
Harris: "I agree with you. Immigration is a topic of discussion."

Over on Reddit, the buzz is Kamala kicked his arse.

A couple real killers on her part:
Border situation. She said c'mon, we all know the border has been a mess, and was even transcending Trump, has been for over a decade. Like she's confiding and "talking straight" on the subject. The problem is, she was the Border Czar and this issue was handed to her upon taking office, and she repeatedly said the border was secure.
So basically, she acknowledged she was lying about that before.
Baier had given her an out with this, having asked when did you feel the border was no longer secure. She could have pulled an arbitrary number out of her arse, it would have been a lie, but then it wouldn't have been an open admission of lying before. Extremely poor reaction for a politician, at any level.
The "I'm talking" thing, holding her hand up, and her voice getting shrill and shaky. She did that a few times, when she'd attempt to talk about something other than the question and Baier tried to redirect her.
It's an interview, not a speech or debate.
Just an objective observation, nobody likes a person that acts that way, total lack of charm and charisma.
The big pause on the "Biden's decline" question, and her fumble afterwards. She was trying to rant that Trump was unfit to serve, Baier came right in with that question about Biden. We all saw what happened this summer, no matter what your politics are. Baier even quoted George Clooney talking about it, how Biden is not the man he had known before... and as a viewer, this is the reason why Kamala, not Biden, is running for President. We KNOW this.
She could not answer, just a blank stare for about 5-6 seconds. Then said Biden's as sharp as ever (we know that's not true). Then said Biden's not on the ticket, to which Baier said "you've met with him weekly for the past 3 and a half years, when did you notice"
She avoided answering anything about that, saying let's talk about Trump some more.
She's lying to America openly on this, because she's not quick or slick enough to pivot or react to it.
Another big one, Baier pinned her slogan "let's turn the page", asked what she's turning the page on. She said Trump, we need a change, he's been running for office the past 10 years. Baier pointed out she's been IN OFFICE the past 4 yrs, and she started to stutter and laugh and said come on you know what I'm saying (and he said No I don't, can you explain it). You could see her squirming on that.
Again, political views aside, she failed badly. These weren't softball questions, but they were all topics that could be expected, that the public want to know about. And it completely rattled her to the point where she was awkward and painful to watch.
We see Trump in more hostile interviews (the recent Chicago Business Club one) where he can take harder/more slanted questions, and give a reasoned answer. Or dodge it with a little charm. She did neither.

The fact that he played a clip from a grieving person who’s family member was killed by an illegal a few weeks after they undid all of trumps border security, and she responded by defending the “border” bill as a solution, when the border bill came 3 years later, is embarrassing and disrespectfully to those families. Brett had to press her on it for a good while for her to even offer her condolences.

objectively, yes. Taking away political leanings from the equation: She responded very poorly to questions. I understand, politicians don't like to answer specifics, but usually they are skilled at doing that. She became shaky and rather shrill quickly, and the interviewer was not aggressive. She neither provided any insight or clue to her policies or positions, nor was she pleasant or likable... at all.
Her biggest win is her supporters will ignore this and say it was fox- they ambushed her
Her biggest loss is any never trump conservative loses the idea that she’s at least the choice that is deferential the office even if I disagree with her, or is charming option or is…. Anything you accuse him of is on display but he’s at least effective and shares your values.

quote:No, I don't think so. Remember, she was way down among Dems in 2019, down around Corey Booker numbers. Tulsi Gabbard destroyed her in that group debate, the same one where Kamala called Biden racist I believe.quote:

She strikes me as the type of woman other women despise.
