For the US, that requires a TON of global trade in/out

No, the US government/uni-party is out for themselves at our country's expense.

That user just registered today, it’s a troll.

Again, "currently". The problem is that there is a definite avenue of opportunity for them there. They'll never pull Canada over and likely won't get Mexico either, but if they are able to sway Iraq and Kuwait, they've suddenly got a lock on over 50% of all oil produced in the world while also having a lock on around 40% of oil imports (primarily China and India).
At that point, all they would have to do is mandate that their oil is traded in their currency (since there's no way the non-BRICS countries could increase production quickly enough to offset that) and that would be enough to hammer the USD's value.
There are some people on this forum who have spent a lot of money for a university education, who are having trouble looking down the road at the potential economic and global power rearrangement from the BRICS process/plan...or they're not ready to accept the reality the US is facing.

No it's not. The US government=cia has effed the world up.
Americans are tired of being and paying for the worlds "policeman". The founders warned entanglements with other nations.

There are a lot of people across the spectrum of education levels who have trouble understanding that things change. You're born, raised and experience a certain power structure that was stable long before you were splooged out, it's hard to believe that something seeming so concrete can ever fall. I imagine there were many among the Greeks, the Romans, the Incans, the Sumerians, the British, etc. who thought that as well even after their societies started their falls from power and prominence.
The possible success of a BRICS currency isn't writ in stone, but there's a definite path where it has a possibility of success and that success would be bad for the US due to the hit the USD would take. Anyone who kneejerk refuses to just allow for the possibility that something could happen to negatively impact the US economy is setting themselves up to be blindsided. See also: #STONKS

So perceived Nationalist American values like OMB promoted are really what every country wants? No way , really. Gee I wonder why it was so bad when OMB tried

People understand the hypothetical just fine.
Smart people understand this hypothetical is an EXTREME long shot. It's more likely that any disruption to the US that BRICS would cause, would result in worldwide economic depression and wars, which would basically destroy BRICS at the same time.

Hunter and Joe shitpants will be investing in BRICs through their Chinese proxies soon, if they aren’t already

You have a very bunny rabbit and rainbow view of foreign relations. But unfortunately that's not how the world works and it's way more cut-throat than that. If America decides tomorrow to go isolationist and turn back, China will just turn in.
There will always be one swinging dick that runs the world. It's what's called a "hegemony" in international relations.
China needs a plurality of Americans like you to think that the world is a happy place and we'd be just fine without the United States "being the policeman" smh.

The BRICS nations now control 50% of global oil production and the vast majority of rare earth minerals used for “Green Energy” probably nothing to be overly concerned about.
Thanks Joe!!!!!!!

Yet we still keep giving some of these countries foreign aid.

Cool let’s become energy independent and then they have 50% of nothing. This is too hard for our politicians though
Nailed it, mot…
The cleaving of the world economy into two main segments is occurring with the full blessing of the current leadership. One half is the fossil fuel based world economy, and the other is the green based economies, led by the US, and including Canada and EU
It is truly a myopic plan by our leadership … complete insanity given the US resources.
