And yet not enough to rid themselves of their NEED for the block of 20.

Funny how that works.

Won’t get $$$ for the district…won’t get good committees- that’s how they will pay

So, they won't pay necessarily. Their constituents and supporters will.

I mean…i see your point but apparently, you aren’t a narcissist so it doesn’t matter to your ego but ppl in Congress, if they don’t bring home the bacon…it impacts their ego

As long as it takes. McCarthy will try to strongarm the 20, perhaps for weeks.

Meanwhile, the 20 are unfortunately playing into the pressure via their own feckless arguments.

Their position is simple. Their explanation should be as well.

This is not 20 vs 200. This is a flawed man who is not trusted by enough members to be SOTH. It is a man who cannot get the requisite majority of votes.

There are probably a half dozen GOP Reps who would easily attain a majority if KM stepped aside. But any of those folks making a serious bid before KM steps aside would split the House GOP, and that would generate an actually serious shitshow.

So the way out, the only way out, is for McCarthy to step aside. He had the same problem in 2015, and he stepped aside for Ryan. If he consistently has those problems with his own party, Dems would eat him alive.

Hopefully forever so that nothing can be done and people can realize they don't need the federal government meddling in every aspect of their lives.

Hopefully 2 years and then the GOP takes the Senate. Meanwhile, the federal government can’t do anything.

Starting Jan 13th payrolls freeze. I think you’ll see things budge very quickly after….

Probably until McCarthy cuts a deal with some dems to get enough votes to bypass the 20.
