Don’t confuse you with “we”, is their top secret strategy to hold all of their fire power back till the last moment even though they have been under attack by their sworn enemy for over a week? It never ceases to amaze lol

Didn't the USS Truman shite it's pants dodging Houthi bottle rockets and lose an f14 off the deck and then get the hell out of dodge?

The Truman and its group defended against Houthi rockets, but it certainly didn't "shite its pants" dodging them.

It also did lose an f14 (two of them) but neither of those had anything to do with dodging missiles

We would actually nuke them if they sunk the Nimitz. That is fact.

We would have to send a. Lear message to the entire world that our carriers are off limits.

No they haven't.

They have missiles that briefly may go hypersonic but that's not a "hypersonic missile" as used to describe the real deal.

They have hypersonic missiles but where they are lacking in comparison to more advanced ones is maneuverability. This makes them easier to shoot down because their path is more predictable even though they have higher speeds.

That would be my biggest concern.

If Iran doesn’t surrender, my guess is they’re banking on a wider conflict with multiple countries joining in.

More likely we sacrifice the ship as a false flag event to draw us into a land war IMO.

I think US bases in the area are more vulnerable.

The ship was trying to maneuver out of the way and the planes were not properly anchored.

Think about the state of the Russian military in that they actually had to get Iranian cruise missiles to use in Ukraine.

Countries do this all the time to test their weaponry in the field. Iran likely gave it to them for free.

Keep worrying and get back to us. Iran is looking for a way to get America into a ground war? Strike their carriers.

LOL, have you heard some of the ridiculous comments from Iran over the last week. The threats are delusional like Baghdad Bob was.

Actually yes I do think so.
Drawing the US into a prolonged conflict is the best way to hurt us.

We would not drop a nuke, we would not put boots on the ground. Iran is about to be under new leadership and no sense in doing all that shite when Iran's mullah leadership is either dead, about to be dead or about to be kicked out of power by their own.

Doubt they have any ability to target one, might be why Israel took out their spy ship which helped the houthis target ships before
