That is why I decided to post a thread here about it. If a CME slaps us, I will feel maybe I helped one man prepare.
I support this mission, 100%. We need a LOT more people in this nation who aren't going to completely freak out when things eventually happen. Our ever-increasing reliance upon technology and electronics is creating a complete dependence among the average population. If everything is suddenly fried in an instant and cannot just be taken to the store and replaced because our vehicles are fried too and the stores won't have the ability to even stay open, it's going to become nightmare scenario rapidly.

I never was a reader, only read what was required in school. Several years ago a coworker from a sister facility where I worked recommended "One Second After" after I mentioned going to WNC for a weekend trip, thats the setting for the book. The book is based on an EMP event. I read it and then each follow up book as they came out.
A movie based on the book series is supposed to start filming soon with one of the leads from "Lost" being the lead actor.
Im looking forward to it as long as the film follows the book and not injected with DEI .

Tesla certainly understood.

So many questions. Assuming our electronics are all fried:
-Are they never coming back?
-Are they coming back, but it would take several months to rebuild?
-How do we have functioning electronics today if there have already been worse events in the past?
-Why does it take us to the Stone Age instead of the 1700-1800s? Not that I'd enjoy that lifestyle either but still
-Would humans on the surface get ultracancer? What does that much solar power do to people?
I'm not asking to be a dick I've literally never heard of any of this until your thread but my interest is PIQUED af right now

What happens then, we do not know. Be vigilant and stay away from the valley.

We need a good Carrington Event type disaster in today's world.
A reset.
A reset.

Unfortunately it won't do what we need done. Most stuff has been hardened over the last century.

That is what the socialist/communist/globalists/Davos have been working towards.
To burn it all down and start a new global one world Gov't order.
Everyone will be equal in slavery. Plebs.
With the Royal Euros being back on top like they used to be.
The US voters have some other ideas.

As for the ECDO theory, you will want to be 5000 feet above sea-level to stand a chance for phase 1.

Last time it happened was in 1859
So in 1859 anyone who was below 5000’ elevation died but 2 years later we had enough humans in the USA alone to fight a civil war?
Got it, I’ll start preparing right away.

This event incinerated, quite literally, telegraph wires* and other electronics that earth had going on, and if it were to happen again, it would send the whole world back into the stone age without a pot to piss in, so to speak.
Why didn't we go back to the stone age in 1859?

I have a 1982 Dodge 3/4 ton Army ambulance up at my camp in Arkansas that is immune to any EMP frickery. The wife won't let it live at our house. I don't dispute that it's ugly but it's ugly in the most badass possible way . We'll see who's laughin' when the Apocalypse comes. Might have to walk to Arkansas County though. That'll suck.

I actually follow space weather very closely.
I only thought I understood any of it before I started actually tracking and then I realized how little I knew.
All I’m gonna say, is that there is some crazy plasma going on right now within the solar system. And expectations it will continue thru the next few months. I don’t know if we’ll get a strong enough CME for a carrington 2.0, but megaquakes are very likely this fall.
Also, did you know that sometime in the next thousand years or so we are going to pass from our local interstellar cloud i to the G-Cloud. Given that cloud complex is much denser than the LIC we’ve been traveling through for tens of thousands of years, the heliosphere is expected to be compressed.

This isn’t true at all

Im not telling you to worry about either, but OP was discussing two distinct scenarios.
1859 was a coronal mass ejection most likely, not a pole shift. Drink your coffee and re read OP, its two dif things. The pole shift last happened a few hundred thousand years ago.
