Sorry SFP, no one wants to your gay spank bank material from your teen years
Can we all just assume SFP to be trolling for the 459,624th time and simply revealed more about himself than he wanted to?

I find it slightly hilarious that they didn't air the MTV Music Awards on, I don't know, MTV?
They did. It was on several channels for some reason.

SFP swoops in with his “gotcha” by posting an MTV forced gay nonsense clip from 1999
It was a joke, you tard.
No gotcha needed when the 80s had their own androgynous musical acts (as noted by another poster).
Literal 80s superstars
They even have memes made about this
The "heavy metal" of the 80s was full of teased hair, lipstick, and eye liner for God's sake
MTV in the 80s was liberal/leftist as shite, like it always has been.

Still the 80s.

Paramount is majority owned now by Qatar. Keep up with the times man.

Clearly not every musical artist in the 80s was queer-adjacent, but the stuff on MTV? Very.
I mean shite, just watch this

As a teenager of the 80's and a huge fan of Heavy Metal, that Glam shite is what rightfully brought us Nirvana, AIC, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, et. al.
That was a good thing.
Bands like Metallica, Megadeth and ACDC didn't get conned into that glam shite.
Hell, even Pantera went through a glam phase early on, IIRC. Thank god they got wise.
That glam shite was terrible, even if I listened to some of it back then.

Correct
It also brought us gangster rap in response, too
Both were signs of the cultural decay of the era because of all the severe increase in social pathologies in the '80s. You see it in movies too.

Ricky Gervais, too

I wasnt aware just how queer adjacent you were, this explains quite a bit concerning your takes.

Context matters, did you just fall out of a coconut tree?
Anyone who lived during that era can attest to the fact that while the hair metal bands you posted wore make up and stole fashion cues from the women’s section they were anything but gay. Most in fact were hyper heterosexual and I’d even go so far as to say misogynistic in their objectification of women.

Back in the day when it was all about music. They used to have the "Spring Break" parties on the beach, which were great, and the annual Top 100 video countdowns. THat was back when Kennedy was a VJ, She is now on Fox News and Fox News Business and appears often.

Pop culture is poison, garbage in...garbage out.
Being blind to the current trends seems the best way to protect your mind from vapid pop culture.
