Guess its a good thing the team is called the New England Patriots and not the Boston Patriots then
i actually meant to mention this. possibly the smartest team naming in history. brings several states together. not that there aren't falcons fans that live in tn but you know what i mean

...but the Bears aren't going anywhere. This is all for leverage.
The "leverage" train left a long time ago.
The Bears have been desperately trying to leave Soldier Field for 50 years and have been waiting to break ground at the Arlington Heights site for 5 years, but to no avail. They've legitimately run out of patience.
The Hammond/Wolf Lake area is not only closer to Soldier Field than Arlington Heights, the Hegewisch neighborhood next to Wolf Lake is part of Chicago proper.
They'll still be the Chicago Bears, get everything they want, and don't have to deal with Illinois politics. They'd be stupid not to leave at this point.

They put him there so don't feel bad for their ignorant asses

Another incompetent Democratic Mayor who has turned a once great American city into a shite hole.
Good for the Bears.
Good for the Bears.

If they actually do go through with moving to Indiana, the City of Chicago and State of Illinois should sue the organization to prevent them from continuing to use the name of Chicago in their branding.
Both NY teams play in New Jersey...

You dishonest frick. They closed the track in 2019 due to shite anttendance and it’s been dormant since. They are opening it back up for a race this year because they lost the Grand Park Street Race downtown and they don’t want to lose their MidWest market, but it’s long term future is undetermined.

NASCAR is literally racing there this year, moron. July 5th
Yes, they've left Chicago. ...but they haven't raced there since 2019.

Yes, they've left Chicago. ...but they haven't raced there since 2019.
2020 was a covid bullshite schedule
2021 they had a huge overhaul of the scheduling, including changing a Bristol race to a dirt race and adding four road course races
2023-2025 they moved one of those new road course races to a street race in downtown Chicago.
So, only three years (2020-2022) with no Chicago race on the schedule; they've effectively already been back to Chicago for the last three years, and are continuing it for a fourth straight year bringing back the oval as they've decreased the number of RC races for this season.
They're not leaving Chicago again any time soon.

Yup.. agreed... Chicago. one of the first cities with an NFL team that started it all. Leaving because it's a Democrat Run Blue Hellhole. Same Reason Sean Payton bailed on NOLA.
Funny that the NFL can put up all the BLM crap they want, ~All their woke flag kneeling bullcrap... But in the end, they are stuck with what they created.
BTW.. You know the joke about the Black National Anthem... We have a White One.. according to the NFL they have a Black one.... What about a Hisoanic National Anthem.. Well it was done at the SB halftime show.

They were forced out because the new mayor didn't want to keep the street race on 4th of July weekend.
quote:
Chicago's contract with NASCAR was scheduled to cover three years and last through 2025.[8] Chicago mayor Brandon Johnson, who defeated Lightfoot in the 2023 Chicago mayoral election, stated on July 3, 2023 that the course's future remains under evaluation and that community input is being sought.[13] After the 2025 race weekend, Mayor Johnson's administration stated they are willing to extend the contract for a further two years, but only after exploring a date change.[14] Event officials announced on X that the race would be removed from the 2026 schedule.

Braves left Atlanta proper. Too many Canadians in the area scaring off all the civilized people who just wanted to attend a game.
