I wish they would have the same tenacity in reporting on illegal alien pedophiles. That seems to escape the same outrage for some unknown reason.

Agreed. They should report on both.

Look, I understand all the downvotes but my point is that if the church came out and said everything, you would have every piranha attorney in the book filing suit to get a piece of the action. It is why the Archdiocese of New Orleans had to file bankruptcy, and there are still more coming out of the woodwork to see if they could get a piece whether it is a verified claim or not.
So yes punish those criminally who had a hand in this, but it is not supposed to be a financial windfall for the attorney class.

If this Cardinal was truly chosen by the Holy Spirit-- and not the third tier from the warm-up bench because the hard lefties couldn't get the votes.
We are in a spiritual battle. A Pope addressing this would be nice.
The new Pope would immediately address the sexual abuse and human trafficking and offer all assistance.
Instead, they will rail on about loving all immigrants while ignoring the missing children in the sex trafficking world.
Like I said, no corrupted anti-Pope, weak Pope of politics, can remove any soul from the Blessed Sacraments---- in the Eucharist-especially.
Jesus would not want 300,000 missing children at the USA southern border.

He's was a Catholic priest and a Cub fan. Of course he's going to be involved in pedophilia.

White women in the 25-30 bracket, that are school teachers, seem to get far more individual press coverage regards screwing students. Are the school systems accountable? Is this sufficient cause to do away with the fed dept of education

If the school knew and simply moved the teacher to another to continue screwing students then they would be absolutely accountable.

Criminal punishment is for the perpetrators.
Financial punishment, including attorney fees, is for the organization / hierarchy that covered up their crimes.
If you don't want to pay the fine, don't cover up the crime.

I think it's time to exercise patience and withhold judgement of the newly elected pope. My first reaction to his selection was "meh", but we will not know how he leads the church until he begins to do so. So prayerfully, I will let him get to the business of the papacy before forming my opinion.

Even the Bible has the concept of Hell. Those pedo priests wont just get to move on. Why should we? Or the victims. Who may also be abusing kids as a result, today?
