The people pulling the strings want the emotional mobs though. Specifically, they want the emotional spiral of escalation. Then you can play the "shift the framing" game to claim the out group started it. Major DEMs/Progressives pulling strings want Trump to do something as stupid as inovke the Insurrection Act
