RG,
I saw that the Senate must proceed within 90 days. What is the vote required to make the suspension permanent? Majority or two-thirds? None of the articles answers this.
Also, I would assume that there will be a special election added to the November ballot. Can’t the Dems just put Warren on the ballot in the special election? Apparently he won handily in 2020. Wouldn’t he win the special election just as easily?
Thx

I guess elected prosecutors no longer have prosecutorial discretion in Florida. They must all do whatever the governor says. Desantis is a wannabe dictator.
Do you think Soros backed elected officials all following the same game plan isn't an issue?
We can play the Dictator calling game all you want, but make sure your side is squeaky clean first.

Not sure. Try looking up what happened when the supervisor of elections was removed from incompetence.
I’m headed to bed soon and have some other things to knock out.
ETA: Never mind, snipes resigned instead of waiting to be officially kicked to the curb.

I imagine it'll probably go down like last time with Bucher. Warren will whine a bit, realize he's fricked, and then resign to pretend it was on his terms. He'll go around talking about how it was all politics and he isn't a piece of shite, responsible for Tampa's 2021 murder spree.
This is what Democrats said in 2018.
If that looks somewhat familiar, it's because this is what Warren had to say today.

Democrats greeted it as a “politically motivated move” and a “gross overreach of power.”

Today’s political stunt is an illegal overreach that continues a dangerous pattern by Ron DeSantis of using his office to further his own political ambition.

Yes, the Empire of Nippon won the Battle of Pearl Harbor, too.
It is pretty easy to win, when your opponent does not even know there is a war, and it is pretty easy to get the functional equivalent of a TRO, when acting completely ex parte.
Sounds like Warren took a shot across the bow and he got a response. His fault if he didn't think Desantis wouldn't respond.
Soros backed elected officials need to put into check. Agree or not, it really isn't hard to understand that concern by people on the Right.

How any thinking person could conclude that Trump is a better choice than DeSantis is beyond me.
Trump did an extraordinary job, and was cheated out of re-election by numbers he crushed Biden. Conservatives love DeSantis, so far. We'll see if DeSantis stands by his stated intent to not run if Trump does. DeSantis knows he's a lock for POTUS, unless he disses Trump and the Base.
It'll be Trump's call, and Ron's response. Will DS fans bitch and stay home if Ron holds true and defers to Trump? If so, they are NOT the real deal; they are TDS victims. We'll know soon.

Can Desantis suspend Warren BEFORE he has actually refused to prosecute an actual case, solely on the basis that Warren stated an intent not to do so if such a case arises? I don't see anything saying that an elected official may be suspended IN ANTICIPATION that he MAY engage in (e.g.) neglect of his duties.
I believe they referenced cases in the press conference in which he has already neglected to perform his duties. One such case involved a child abduction.

Another was a murderer. Warren is an awesome guy.
The guy shot into a house after killing someone and the people that live there won’t go back because he’s on the loose.
Warren is a POS

DeSantis reminds me of a right-wing counterpart to Huey P. Long. There's no way a governor of one of the individual states should have so much power.
Leander Perez is probably rolling over in his grave.

That is so wrong, did you ever take a government class?
The Governer is the chief executive of their state and they have a lot of power within their state.

You need to study the Constitution. Spend extra time on the 10th Amendment.
