It was my understanding that they were going after known criminals (other than being undocumented) and in the process of arresting them if they came in contact with others who were here illegally that they would sweep them up also.
That was the emphasis of their prior position - "If you notify ICE when you already have them in your custody, then we would not have to go out in public to hunt them down"
But since ICE DOES have to go out into the public to get the bad guys, anyone associated with them in their immediate surroundings can be asked for their documentation to see if they may be affiliated with the known criminal.

Out of all the members of the Trump 2.0 administration, one person I have faith in is Tom Homan. He has been in the middle of this shitestorm (illegal immigration response) for a while.

It doesn’t matter if it’s immigration, the economy or inflation, the American people have the consistency of a nat. They were for deporting all immigrants until the media focused on it and just as predictable as rain they shifted back to the Democrats. If you look at most issues today, that 6 months ago they supported Trump, now they’re going leftward. This country is nothing but a collection of idiots and losers led by morons.

They’re all criminals. They’re here illegally. That’s a crime. If they have stolen social security numbers or forged documentation that’s also a crime. If they used that to get govt benefits they aren’t supposed to receive that’s another crime. It’s called fraud, identity theft, forging government documents.
Due process isn’t necessary unless they are actually here legally but committed a crime. If they aren’t supposed to be here then send them back, outside of confirming they are here illegally there is no necessary due process unless we intend to prosecute for other crimes
