I guess if 4d Chess is blatant market manipulation. I am sure the SEC will investigate and do nothing or slap him with a trivial fine

No what is naïve is thinking Musk is so all powerful and all knowing he knew something even the people at Twitter with access to the raw data don’t have nailed down.

yeah man, thinking that the literal richest man on the planet may have some "guys on the inside" feeding him info is completely impossible

of course he isn't all knowing / powerful, but its not like he just fell into a pile of gold bars and self-landing rockets, dude is pretty darn sharp I think its fair to say

He wins either way.

I think he just needs attention on a psychological level. The initial uproar died down, now he needs something else. Or he did it for the attention in the first place, and now that post-nut clarity hits and he doesn't really want to go through the dregs of actually running a hive of scum like twitter.

Dude can buy anything he wants, that amount of money warps your brain. Humans have a need to pursue something, whether that is money, sex, or fame. When you get that rich I fully believe your brain just tries to find something else for fulfillment because you don't have to pursue traditional things like the three I listed anymore. His thing is attention, hes obviously a whore for it. Doesn't mean I don't like him, its just how it is.

It is ironic that you make these statements about what Musk did or did not know as if you yourself know it for fact, rather than it being your gut feeling.

If Musk is allowed to buy Twitter then the powers that be that control everything knows he will do their bidding. If he’s not allowed to buy Twitter or is given complete shite for trying to from people actually with power to stop him like the SEC or someone attempts to kill him I think he may be a good guy. This Elon is gonna make us free crap or bullshite isn’t gonna be all over Twitter is so much trash.

I don’t care either way because unless the the stance on the left changes from their insane policies then why would I want to debate or dialogue with them. They have a theology that is completely contradictory to mine. Just like I wouldn’t debate or discussion religion with a closed minded Satanist.

On top of that Musk is a transhumanist. Owns defense contracts, allowed to shoot rockets off, was the “American choice” for the electric car. So he’s got to be playing with the devil in some way for the government to allow and even push his products.

5% still equals over 11 million accounts so I am not sure why that number is being tossed around like no big deal.

So he knew something even the Twitter insiders don’t know? Ok got it. He may have suspected it but he did not know it. I will put up my experience in over 200 transactions against yours. He may have believed to 5% number to be BS as most people do, but he didn’t know shite. It is one of many metrics the deal is tied to from a valuation standpoint and is sop on deals it is not 4D chess.

Lmao…..yes dude I’m sure the richest guy on earth can not get that type of info!!

It's why Elon's bid was so genius from the start and also why we likely saw tons of accounts get removed right after the deal was done.

Makes those posts about blue check marks bitching about losing followers overnight hilarious. Twitter was trying to clean their rolls as soon as the agreement was made

A lot of people believe he never actually intended to buy Twitter, nor will he. Time will tell.

Correct. I’m not saying the number is or isn’t inflated (I think it is) I’m saying Musk didn’t know for sure. He made an educated assumption based on all matters and wisely pegged the value to their stated number.

Well he had to peg it at that # as that was the known public#, so if he wanted to take a peek under the hood, then that's what he had to do. He knew this was a possibility though, but once the proper legal docs are in place he could get a better look.

Just like any suitor who knows what happens once they see how much of a difference it is, as I'm sure he expected a certain % going in (and not the initial 5% they said), but perhaps the surprise is that it surpassed what he thought by way more than anticipated. Not a surprising reason for him to use this to get the amount lowered, walk away or even destroy Twitter for their shenanigans. I can see it being a safe excuse to throw out there too.

His initial/main intent we'll never know though.

No Way Elon Musk Is Going to Buy Twitter…A Company Largely Based on BOTS and Spam Accounts” President Trump on Elon Musk’s Twitter Deal

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/05/no-way-elon-musk-going-buy-twitter-company-largely-based-bots-spam-accounts-president-trump-elon-musks-twitter-deal/

quote:

President Trump created his new social media platform named – Truth Social. This morning he responded to the news that Musk is putting his purchase of Twitter on hold. President Trump shared:

There is no way Elon Musk is going to buy Twitter at such a ridiculous price especially since realizing it is a company largely based on BOTS or Spam Accounts. Fake anyone? By the time you get rid of them, if that can even be done, what do you have? Not much? If it weren’t for the ridiculous Billion-Dollar breakup fee, Elon would have already been long gone. Just my opinion, but Truth Social is MUCH better than Twitter and absolutely exploding, incredible engagement!
