My bad. There's some muh income tax people on this board that are beyond annoying. Every single individual and business will reduce their tax liabilities as much as they can.

Now tell us about carried losses and reinvested capital.

Becasue they want to take his taxes and create litigation and cause him personal and professional harm. They have no idea what is in his tax returns but they are sure they can find something which to make a stink about and force litigation. Then they can claim he is obstructing justice or something and impeach him again...

and he's got executive privilege to not even discuss such till late January of 2025, and even then there will be a new Republican President, so it'll never be discussed, nor should it be, since he is legal.

Well, to this point in the game, NYT hasn't been able to get in a good lick on Trump even with their combining forces with WAPO, CNN, MSNBC et al, Pelosi, Schumer Schiff, and every other Democrat in Congress, as well as some Republicans as well.....so even all those forces combined haven't been effective against Trump. Think about that for a moment.

So if you're feeling like NYT isn't exactly making waves with this little Micky Mouse effort, you're not wrong and you're not alone. If they can't accomplish it with the all star team referenced above, they sure as hell ain't gonna get it done on their own.

It may be embarrassing to lose so much money, it is not in itself a crime. Obviously.

While he may have had tax losses, his cash flow could conceivably have been positive. If he claimed big depreciation numbers on real and business property those allowable expenses for tax purposes would not cost him anything out of pocket.

I told my Hispanic neighbor that is voting for his very first time about it. He doesn’t watch much local or national news. With a little prodding from me, he is convinced it is kinda of a big deal.

We'll see. I know a guy that every time we went out to dinner he wrote it off as a business expense. He also wrote every vacation and his golf off. I told him once if asked did we discuss business during any of those I would tell the truth, no we did not.
