I know two guys born in America. Do great work and have to compete with workers that do not speak English. Are Illegal alien's.
They get work but shouldn't have to compete with cheap labor.
I had a block wall built by Illegal Aliens. I tried to give them some gloves but the English speaking supervisor wouldn't let me give them free gloves. They also never showed back up after I paid the total amount.
It was 1/2 up front a 1/2 when finished. My bad for paying the 2nd half too soon.
This was 6 yrs ago. I put a complaint with cash app. They cancelled my app. It was the only time I'd ever used it. Only installed it for this project.
I've been angry at myself ever since.
============================
I also know an alarm installer from South America. He and his wife became American Citizens after 13 years.
They speak English with an accent.. Both are smart. Both work hard. Both are very angry how easy it is to cross the boarder and get free shite.
They did it the correct way and hate that people/illegal's come over and get free shite.
They are more angry about how easy it is than any liberal white woman.

Home buyers won’t pay for them. Look at all the whining now about home prices.
Maybe if 20 million illegals moved out of their homes in the states the prices would go down???

We have a large group of predominantly Spanish subcontractors working for us, and that’s simply because they’re the ones who make up the industry, and yet they make very good money. It’s just labor intensive at times, and our people don’t want to put the work in it takes to become a professional contractor. They’re legal and have to be in order to work for us, but the issues they’ve faced are admittedly not so black and white when it comes to dealing with ICE. They’ve been targeted on their way to and fro to job sites, detained for extended amounts of time as they go through their paperwork and validate everything on multiple, multiple occasions and for a while we couldn’t even get them to cross the state line for jobs because ICE was camping out at the state line to pull them over and detain them, and they were scared of what they thought might happen, some of it just fearful, and some of it valid. If you’re in a white work truck/van and Spanish, you’re getting pulled over.
It’s not all right and wrong here. These guys all know that they better have their stuff in order every day, but they are paying a real price for those who’ve broken the law and come over illegally, and so there are some valid issues with ICE that I can agree with, but that still doesn’t mean we don’t need ICE or strong border enforcement. It’s just real sloppy, and it does need to improve quite a bit.

We can, but there’s another dynamic at play here. Americans aren’t interested in hard work. 35 years in this industry and nothing has changed except it’s become ever more reliant on foreign labor at every passing year.

The demand in my state is being driven by relocating Yankees it seems. The illegals don’t appear to be buying new construction homes.

I think it is a fair question, and I think many of you aren’t thinking deeper about the topic.
The realtors and local politicians in my area are steadily beating the drum that there is a housing shortage. The local home builders are going gang busters. Realistically I can’t see how any of them want to upset that apple cart, and deporting a bunch of the workers building those junk nee
w house would most definitely do that.
Now expand that to an entire state and a state government hungry for more population and tax money from more houses and transplants.
And no, you can’t just ‘hire Americans’ and keep the train rolling at its current pace. There aren’t enough of them and they are too expensive for what the American buyer wants to pay.
Just because red citizens (many of whom are already complaining about house prices and availability) supposedly want this to stop, doesn’t mean policymakers do.
Anyway, I think I said my piece. You may resume venting your frustrations by calling me names.

The choices you suggest:
1) remove all illegals and the labor they produce. Remove the illegal family members they brought with them: wife, five kids, uncle Jose, Abuela1, Abuela 2, two cousins
2) keep all illegals and the labor they produce. Force the taxpayer to pay for all goods and services for the illegal family members they brought with them: wife, five kids, uncle Jose, Abuela1, Abuela 2, two cousins
And, the choice you ignore:
3) Remove all illegals and the labor they produce. Remove the illegal family members they brought with them: wife, five kids, uncle Jose, Abuela1, Abuela 2, two cousins. Invite the labor to return alone on an as needed basis, LEGALLY, only when it benefits US taxpayers.
It’s really not so hard. We don’t have 30 million here involved in the labor pool, but we do have 30 million here

I’m a builder in Florida. We have white, black, Hispanic contractors that work with us. Our LEGAL Hispanic frame contractor is probably the best around so we pay a little MORE for him.
Your narrative doesn’t apply here. ICE has already come through.
