I wonder what their thoughts would be if they lived in the present America.

bad king gets his head chopped off. It’s a lot easier fix than trying to reform democracy.
Yes, and most people are to stupid and should not be able to vote. Should at minimum be a property owner and have a civic duty requirement.

Massie/Rand >>>>>> Trump I hate the left as much as anyone, but stick to policies and principles. It’s called integrity… respect it if nothing else.
You’re smoking crack if you think that bullshite will ever happen.

So that is what you want. You certainly don't want Congress to make laws.... too messy, takes too long.

For $12.90 you can find out... their arguments hold up to today's time and circumstance.

But using the term "king" at the same time the left is organizing nationwide "No Kings" protest is suspicious.
Just stop. I don't think anything that President Trump has done anything that remotely approaches being a king.

I don't want a king but only a king can defeat the deep state in its current form. Guillotines served a purpose. Eliminate all internal enemies of the state.

Then ask the question differently.

Also foreseen by our founding fathers.

I think most people on the right agree with Thomas Massie. There are not enough other congressmen who are willing to vote to cut direct payments to individuals. That makes Thomas Massie useless as a legislator.
What he should be doing is identifying people who are running for office who will support the spending cuts and giving the electorate their names. Because what he is doing is not working at all and he may help deliver an extremely large tax increase to all Americans

Amen. God is in charge. Admittedly, it's hard to understand His plan in having Biden as president...but Isaiah 55, His mind is not ours.

Would you prefer to abolish Congress and the Courts and have the President write the laws, interpret the laws, and execute the laws? Do you want a king?
The programming works so well. Sooo well on the weak.
Remember when we were forced to take vaccines, arrested for practicing the first amendment, but were allowed to riot by decree?

Our current system doesn’t work any more - but a king isn’t the answer either

You're right. I screwed up with the phrasing. I didn't think about it enough.
Despite my fumble with the phrasing, I have appreciated and learned from most of the responses. I think it's healthy to re-examine big picture questions now and then.

When did they have their military parades?

I'm not sure what your point was there, but I think the vaccine tyranny was a complete collapse of the American system.

Presidents have always used the bully pulpit to influence policy.

The collapse happened prior, it just wasn't realized as most everyone was fat, happy and content.
The tyranny happened because we'd already been slowly conditioned to take such abuse without uprisings.
Covid was just the assholes rubbing it in.
