Trump signed the tax cuts bill and the omnibus spending bill. 2019 projections are showing a trillion dollar deficit.

And the tax cuts are doing exactly what they are designed to do, creating investment and growth, like a 4.1% GDP, low unemployment, and wage growth.

The Omnibus was a mistake for several reasons, but the spending represented a continuation of the previous spending bill. It didn't represent additional spending to any great amount. The mistake was not severely cutting spending.

Are you serious?

I can’t tell if you’re joking or just that completely unaware of current events.
But start with omnibus and keep digging from there. Trump isn’t conservative. Not even close. His trade policies are Bernie like. His industry welfare is socialist like.
But the trumpkins will never admit it. They will never admit that trump is even worse than obama and bush on spending and trade.

Because like most progressives, trumpkins don’t have an Econ 101 level understanding of economics.

Read a book. Here’s some good ones.

Basic economics by Sowell

Economics in one lesson

Economic facts and fallacies

And a few more. Or just pick up a freshman year economics text book to start. Either way you’ll be a smarter voter and not fall
For the same bullshite under trump that people did under obama.

Yes. I'm seriously still waiting for you to cite the Trump backed spending bills passed by congress that makes Trump look like Obama on steroids.

Omnibus sucked, but is essentially a CR using previously set spending caps. Obviously, I don't know shite from shinola, but I know that spending bills originate in the house. So if Trump is spending on a level to make Obama look like a piker, there has to be some legislation you can point to which shows this, other than the omnibus.

I believe under Obama, deficit spending was about $550 billion. The trend was downward.

It will be a trillion under the Trump tax cut. Now the Republicans want to point the trend downward.

There are very few fiscally conservative people though. They spend just as much as the dems just on different stuff and don’t want to pay for it. Cutting spending should have been the primary focus not tax cuts. Get your house in order first and then reward yourself not the other way around.

While dealing with the fact that the military has endured half of the cuts imposed by the Budget Control Act, despite representing only 15% of the federal budget.

LOL. You think the big players don't already know the numbers and have this stuff priced in.

Why should that not be the case though?

Well, off the top of my head, I'd say probably 75% of the 1.3 trillion budget is for shite that is not constitutionally mandated, while defense absolutely is?

Long term growth projections are not very good driven by labor shortages, shifting demographics (boomers retiring), and huge government deficits (gov is going to have to significantly cut spending/benefits or raise taxes in the next 4 years).

Did you not notice the $50 billion increase in defense spending?
