The sense of entitlement is impressively insane.

It's a bunch of people trying to go home or get a connecting flight.
They don't want to get in a physical fight, possibly hurt, and then get detained for policing for a few hours (and possibly arrested).
It's just just being "sheep"

Like the poster I was responding to said, I would have just gone around her over the seats. That's what I mean by sheep. Following the leader. Very literally. I wouldn't have put up with that shite for one second.

While I would love to have seen someone shove past her arse, this is what Grok has to say about it:
Pushing past someone who is intentionally blocking the aisle on an airplane during deplaning could be considered simple assault under federal law, which is an arrestable offense. Under 18 U.S.C. § 113(a)(5), simple assault aboard an aircraft in flight (or at a federal facility like an airport gate area) is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine, up to six months in prison, or both. This includes any intentional, unwanted physical contact that is offensive or provocative, such as shoving or pushing someone—even if no injury occurs—since aircraft fall under special federal maritime and territorial jurisdiction.
In practice, whether it leads to an actual arrest depends on factors like the force used, any injury, witness statements, and if the incident escalates to involve crew (which could trigger additional FAA interference charges under 49 U.S.C. § 46504). Precedents show passenger-on-passenger physical altercations, including battery charges for striking or unprovoked attacks, have resulted in arrests and removals from flights. However, the context here—the blocker refusing to move despite requests—might provide a partial defense (e.g., necessity or the blocker's own violation of FAA aisle clearance rules under 14 C.F.R. § 25.815), but it doesn't automatically justify force. The safest approach is to alert flight attendants immediately rather than intervening physically, as self-help via force can still expose you to liability.

The airlines need to collectively start a lifetime ban list and stop these people from ever flying again. It would end all of this stupidity in a day.

The airlines are to blame most of the time. They don't jump into action quick enough when THEIR plane is being taken over.
I thought each plane had air marshals to deal with unruly passengers? Where is he?

Lmao you serious? When I was at the airlines we had maybe a dozen marshals on my shifts in four years. 8 flights a day

People who own nothing will create imaginary territories to claim as their own. I remember watching a homeless guy fight another homeless guy because he put his feet on the folding chair he was sitting on.

the people who deserve respect the least demand it the most. very tiresome.

Her initial resistance to the flight attendant's directions was potentially criminal as well.
So, if it had escalated, she would have been first in line to FO after FA, IMHO.
