FWIW, I despise people who are for abortion but raise hell when they have to see the pictures. From their reactions I'd have to think that maybe they have a guilty conscience. If not, why would some pictures of something they believe in get them all riled up?

As a socialist I admit that in some ways I like pornography, but we have to admit that in capitalism some women are forced to commodity themselves and sell their bodies for money.
A lot of woman have no other job opportunities or believe that they have no other job or career opportunities. and turn to porn for the allure of easy money and for low self-esteem.
As a socialist I have not bought the idea that woman who turn to porn are in charge and using their sexuality to make money and is in control. The truth is that women turn to porn because they don't have other opportunities or feel that they have no other opportunities.
Porn is the result of capitalist exploitation. I am in favor of liberal or liberated sexualities but porn is not a form of liberal or liberated sexuality.

While I applaud the girls for exercising their free speech I simply disagree with their approach. I myself am "pro life" but holding graphic pictures of aborted fetuses is more incendiary and really does nothing to open up honest and open debate about the issue. It just mainly pisses people off. The professor still acted outrageously and should be disciplined but this sort of demonstration invites behavior like this.

This one professor aside, UCSB is actually one of the top-10 or so public universities in the country. Really good school. Every university has a few luny professors. As long as your child doesn't plan on taking "Black Booty Holes in 19th Century Fetish Pornography 2201" I don't think her education would be in anyway compromised at UCSB
