The crowd will still be able to do the gator chomp with their arms, with or without the band and likely will if I had to guess. This whole thing is stupid. The school recognized it has zero racist undertones but banned it anyways for no apparent reason. I struggle to find how a thing a black player started doing in 1995 could possibly be construed as racist or illicit anyone to feel any sort of way. A team nicknamed the gators, in a state full of gators, have fans do a gator chomp while chanting gator bait. What. The. frick.
