Flynn was (and still is) an arrogant,lying piece of shite. He was no hero in the military and no patriot to the USA.
After being moved out of the Army, he remade himself into a consultant and made himself available to any candidate who could get him back to a position of influence. He didn't give a frick about Trump. Trump was just a vehicle that could take Flynn to a position of power. And Flynn, being both arrogant and greedy, couldn't wait to cash in for himself and his family.
