Doc, the government has a vaccine marketing problem. This was initially pitched as “get the vaccine and you are good” when the reality is that you can still acquire as well as spread Covid. Sure, it will mitigate Covid if you contract it, but the whole concept of the vaccine keeping you “safe” is just a lie.
What you are talking about is a facilities utilization issue with the thought being that if you have the vax the need to go to the hospital or time spent in the hospital is lessened.

If you are a physician, then you should be ashamed of yourself as you sat on your hands while legitimate data and research and reports from fellow doctors were brought forth for the sole purpose of providing information. You sat on your hands and watched as they were attacked and destroyed for simply reporting data they collected on their interactions and findings with their patients. You sat on your hands while they reported on successful results of known useful and safe drugs. You sat on your hands while access to those drugs were forbidden. You have dishonored your oath and you now have little or no standing. You have destroyed a once trusted profession because you are beholden to the Hospitals and Pharma companies that bought and paid for you silence. I would implore you to rethink why you went into your profession because frankly most doctors are disgrace today.

In the major metropolitan area I live there were 3 ICU beds available yesterday. There are now more patients admitted to the hospital than at any other point since this started. We are literally running out of beds and nurses to care for the patients. The overflow is saturating and filling up our emergency departments. And 95% of the patients admitted are unvaccinated. 50% of these people are under the age of 65. These patients stay twice as long on average as other people admitted to the hospital tying up a significant amount of resources. This is not up for debate. These are just facts. For the first time in my career I have been asked to delay cancer surgery. Its not just about the COVID patients, the downstream effects this has on other patients is devastating. Again, this is not meant to start an argument with people who are adamantly against the vaccine. You do you. But for anyone on the fence, I would implore you to consider getting vaccinated. Downvote away.

My wife is a Pharmacist for CVS, she administers the Pfizer and has had herself. She is 49, I am 55
we talk about the vaccine every night.
we have two teens, one has had Covid, no issues other than loss of smell
I had a friend email last night he knows a nurse who said every patient comes in as "Covid" so the hospital can get 14k
the exact amount Biden says will be a penatlty...
these are trouble things that create muddy waters.
I mean dang...Biden and Harris have gone from "we won't take the vaccine"...when Trump was President to mandates and fines if you don't take it
Doc...we have a problem in leadership..
we have a problem in information
We have a problem in journalism
we have problems in science, many of them do not agree with one another
so who has the truth?

So why don't you 'professionals' prescribe treatments that have proven to be safe and effective and clear out all the beds being taken up by COVID patients?
Unprecedented you say? Desperate times call for desperate measures, but this 'professional community' seems to be in lock step with the CDC, FDA, etc with only treating these patients with the same treatments that have done nothing but proven ineffective at best.
What's the definition of insanity? Physicians like you need to open up your eyes, see the big picture, understand whats going on in this country and, most importantly, start thinking for yourself as a licensed medical doctor and start doing what's best for your patients, not what the grand poobahs of the holy church of scientism in DC dictate you to do.
